Pape Diouf Dead: Corona Virus Kills Former Marseille President

Former Marseille president Pape Diouf has died aged 68 after contracting coronavirus, the club has announced.

The Senegalese was president between 2005 and 2009 when Marseille finished second in Ligue 1 twice and reached two French Cup finals.

They went on to win a first French league title in 18 years in 2010.

“Pape will remain in the hearts of the Marseillais forever, as one of the great architects in the club’s history,” Marseille posted on Twitter.

The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) said: “Journalist, agent, president of Olympique de Marseille, Pape Diouf dedicated his whole life in service of football.

“A member of the LFP administrative council from September 2007 to June 2009, Pape Diouf will be remembered as a charismatic and passionate director.”

Former France and Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse played for Marseille when Diouf was in charge.

“Today French football has lost a great man,” he posted on social media. “My sadness is great today. Rest in peace.”

Netflix has just released the trailer for the upcoming season 4 of the Spanish series “Money Heist”. The series which was intended to be told in 2 parts has seen the release of renewed series with a significantly increased budget for 16 new episodes total.

Part 3, with eight episodes, was released on 19 July 2019. Part 4, also with eight episodes, will be released on 3 April 2020.

Season 4 of the international drama titled, La Casa De Papel in Spanish, promises to be a full-scale war as predicted by Tokyo at the conclusion of last season.

The ending to season 3 ended on quite a cliffhanger with The Professor on the run and the reveal that Raquel is in fact very much alive.
