Man kills sugar mummy he met on Facebook with pestle; sells car and other valuables

A 31-year-old man is in the custody of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for allegedly killing his sugar mummy.

The 48-year-old lover of the young man identified as Ijeoma Felix met the suspect in a Facebook group in 2020 and started dating.
According to reports, the suspect stole the victim’s car and other valuables. While being interrogated, the suspect on Tuesday confessed to having hit the victim with a pestle during an allegedly violent argument at her two-bedroom residence in the Lugbe area of the FCT on October 24.
The suspect told the police that after they met on Facebook, the deceased asked him to move in with her but as time went in, the relationship became toxic with him being the victim.
He further disclosed that he was engaged in an argument with the deceased over a Toyota Highlander she had given him, which he sold without her consent. However, their argument escalated into a fistfight where the deceased met her death.
The suspect disclosed that after killing Ijeoma, he took the car documents of his lover’s Camry and sold it for N1.7 million.

Hotel room used by Lionel Messi in Qatar to be turned into a museum

Weeks after the 2022 World Cup tournament was concluded, Qatar University has announced that the hotel room of Argentina captain and World Cup winner Lionel Messi will be turned into a mini museum.

Qatari news agency (QNA) reported that the hotel room Messi later shared with his lifelong friend and colleague Sergio Aguero towards the end of Argentina’s triumphant World Cup campaign, will no longer receive guests.

Some of the items Messi left behind will also be added to the mini museum which will be accessible to students and other visitors.
Hitmi al Hitmi, Director of communications and public relations at Qatar University, told Qatari newspaper Al Sharq;

“The room of Argentina national team player Lionel Messi will remain unchanged and will remain available only for visitors and not for residence.
“Messi’s belongings and will be a legacy for students and future generations and a witness to the great achievements Messi has reached during the World Cup.”

Manchester United Coach, Erik Ten Hag has alleged that Cristiano Ronaldo chose to leave the English club before the World Cup tournament.

Speaking to Viaplay Sport after the club grabbed a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Tuesday evening, Ten Hag stressed the need for his side to look toward the future.
According to him, Ronaldo chose to say goodbye and it’s all in the past now as he’s no longer part of the team.
Ten Hag said;
“The team has been focused on getting back to the Premier League. All I see is a hungry team. I do not look back, only to the future. He chose to say goodbye, he is no longer part of the team. He’s gone and it’s in the past. We are now looking forward and looking at the future.”

Reece James suffers another injury setback

Reece James who couldn’t play for England at the 2022 World Cup due to injury, has suffered a short return to Stamford Bridge following another injury he picked up in the 53rd minute of Chelsea’s Premier League match against Bournemouth yesterday, December 27.

Before his return on Tuesday, James suffered a serious knee injury against AC Milan in the Champions League on October 11.
Though the World Cup break gave him enough time to recover and return to full fitness, the 23-year-old was replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta after being hobbled off 8 minutes after halftime.

Speaking after the match which ended 2-0 in favour of the Blues, Chelsea’s manager Graham Potter said;
“I’m not sure on the state of the injury. Too early to say. You can see his quality. It’s a blow for us. Fingers crossed. We’ll see how bad it is.”

The clip of a man who almost died, while having dinner with his friends has been making the rounds on social media.

The viral video sees the man seated with friends while they ate. However, the man is seated in an uncomfortable manner with his mouth wide open.
Sadly, his friends failed to notice and continued to eat like all was well. Thankfully, a stranger at the same restaurant noticed him and went to his aid.

Nollywood actress Rita Dominic has lambasted a troll who accused her of dating her husband, Fidelis Anosike while he was still married to his ex-wife.

A Twitter user identified as Winter Berry accused the actress of dating her current husband Fidelis when he was still a married man.
While laying accusations, she called out the wife of Churchill, Rosey Meurer for doing the same; Mercy Johnson, and Ifeoma, the new lover of Paul Okoye as well.
She wrote;
“Rita Dominic was dating Fide while man was still with his last wife. Meurer was dating Churchill while Churchill was married to Tonto. Ifeoma has been dating Paul Okoye since 2020. Mercy Johnson was dating Prince, & Ruth his wife was crying. Lol. Judy is actually a nice learner.

Nigerian skit-maker and brand influencer, Taaooma bares her thoughts about the societal hardship that women are constantly faced with.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, Taaooma, whose real name is Apaokagi Adedoyin Maryam shared that being a woman is tough.
She recounts her experience at the hands of a traffic offender, whom she challenged on the road, but ended up silencing her.
In her words:
“Being a woman can be tough sometimes. In your work space, you’re looked down upon. In the society, you’re not as respected. Last time out, a traffic offender I challenged on the road told me to “drop my daddy’s car” before I can talk to him 😂.”
Her post was replied to by a troll, who said it was not about her being a woman, but rather about her small stature. He further asked Taaooma to stop playing the victim.
His Tweet reads:
“That wasn’t about you being a woman, it was probably about you being ‘small’ size. You women shouldn’t be victimizing yourselves always”
Nonetheless, Taaooma’s response to the troll put him back in his place.

Man who got infected with HIV after tattooing Bobrisky on his body reportedly dies

Young man who claimed to have gotten infected with HIV after he tattooed popular crossdresser Bobrisky, has reportedly passed on.
The sad news was announced on the young man’s Instagram account.

According to the public disclosure made on his IG account, he had died on the 24th of December 2022.
This comes months after the fan took to social media to call on his idol, Bobrisky to help out after he allegedly got infected with HIV when he tattooed the socialite on his arm.
Bobrisky had however declined helping him as he spilled how ungrateful and thriftless he had been with the money he had previously given him while adding that he never forced him to ink his face on his body.
The fan identified simply as Lordcasted had sadly passed on barely three months after the online drama.
