Vee was a guest on Stephanie Coker’s podcast, where she shared her thoughts on relationships and why a lot of people get hurt. The singer, who was previously in a relationship with fellow Tv star, Neo stated that many single people are “mad” and still carry the hurt experienced from their previous relationships around. She says this is why a lot of hurt people are out there hurting other people. Vee reveals that her last relationship ended on a mutual note and as much as it did, she was left hurt for months. However, she has been able to pick herself up and grow, and that is the difference between her and others, who are single. “it was good until it wasn’t and then we went our separate ways…we ended on mutual terms but I didn’t expect to be that hurt”, Vee noted. Peter Mbah, the PDP’s governorship candidate in Enugu, has been declared the winner of the 2023 Governorship polls in the state.

Mbah’s declaration as Governor by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, comes following days of controversy over the results from Nkanu East Local Government Area. According to the Returning Officer, Prof. Maduebibisi Iwe, the collation was taken over by the INEC national headquarters in Abuja after those of them in Enugu could not have a common ground. Peter Mbah Mbah polled 160,895 votes slightly above his closest rivals, Chijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party, who scored 157,552, and Uche Nnaji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who got 14,575 votes, amongst others.

The UK government has announced that it is actively collecting relevant data on individuals who instigated or participated in election-related violence during the recently concluded 2023 elections in Nigeria.

The British High Commission on March 22, 2023, revealed that it plans to take appropriate measures against them. The statement released by Andrew Mitchell MP, the UK Minister of State for Development and Africa, declared that sanctions, such as prohibiting people from acquiring UK visas or imposing human rights sanctions, could be imposed. “We can confirm that we are collating relevant information, with a view to taking action against some individuals. “We witnessed and received credible reports from other observer missions and civil society organisations of vote buying and voter intimidation, the destruction and hijacking of election materials and the general disruption of the process in numerous states including Lagos, Enugu and Rivers. “In addition, we observed incidents of harassment of journalists. Freedom of speech and a free press are crucial for a healthy democracy, and journalists must be able to go about their work without being threatened.” the UK government said.

The boyfriend of James Brown‘s sister, Believe, denies rape allegations against him while affirming that their relationship was based on clout.

This comes after Gracious Brown accused her boyfriend of physically abusing her after making attempt to rape her friend. In a follow-up story, Beleive argued that the allegations of rape against him were false while stating that he paid Gracious to be his girlfriend for clout and to promote his music. He further stated that on the day of the incident, Gracious Brown was high and when he refused to have sex with her, she pulled a knife and inflicted injury on herself. He added that her friend joined Gracious to attack him.

Gracious Brown, the sister of the notable crossdresser, James Brown calls out her boyfriend over rape and domestic abuse allegations.

During a live session on Instagram, Gracious accused her boyfriend, Believe of making moves on her friend who passed the night at their apartment. James Brown’s sister stated that her boyfriend tried to entice her friend with money but allegedly made a move to rape her when she rejected his offers.

Gracious pressed on to state that when she confronted him, he denied the claims and beat her up alongside her friend. She also invited the said friend during the Instagram live session to reveal the wound on her hand reportedly from being manhandled by her boyfriend.

In a follow-up post via her Instagram story, Gracious Brown wrote; “Because I don’t use to talk don’t think am a fool Don’t talk don’t talk don’t talk am like this please don’t let me take you down please just go and take your words back because if I start with you nobody will beg for you am not a fool am keeping silent don’t mean am a fool 000 I do mind my business on this app I have never fight with anybody I use to stay my own.”

Labour party's Alex Otti declared winner of Abia governorship election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Labour Party’s Alex Otti the winner of the Abia governorship election. Alex Otti Alexx Otti overtook the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Okey Ahiwe, in the March 18 gubernatorial elections. According to the vice-chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Mrs Oti, the LP candidate defeated his rival with 175,467 votes. This declaration from INEC comes after some residents and supporters of the Labour Party (LP) in Abia state, in their hundreds launched a protest in Umuahia against INEC asking them to declare Alex Otti as the winner The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidates pulled 88,529 votes, while Young Peoples’ Party (YPP) came third with 28,972 votes.  This win is the Labour Party’s first victory in the 2023 election
