Popular street-hop artiste, Habeeb Okikiola better known by his stage name, Portable bemoans malicious lies being spread by his boys.

The singer, who recently made the news for resisting arrest at his bar, lamented over how people keep treating him badly despite his goodwill to them. He said that the boys whom he had housed, fed, and bought iPhones for are more focused on looking for ways to tarnish his image, rather than thinking of ways to better themselves. Portable said that he had chased them out of his house since they couldn’t dream of themselves and make better use of their time. According to him, the friends are now spreading rumors that he does ritual to make money. Club owner arrested for defrauding US govt of N32million covid funds

An Ibadan club owner, Adepoju Olawale Sunday of De Rock Club has been arrested for defrauding the US government of N32 million covid funds.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal command reportedly arraigned the club owner, Olawale Sunday before the court. The judge who sat on the case was Justice Uche Agomoh of the Federal High Court. The suspect was charged with two separate charges; alleged involvement in cybercrime and obtaining funds under false pretense. The first charge had eight counts; identity theft, obtaining covid-19 funds and unemployment benefits from the United States government, and transfer of proceeds of crime to another person called Owoade Emmanuel David. Also, further investigations have proved that the club owner through his small business in the US stole some personal identities of American citizens which he used in filing false benefit claims.

Joshua, a Nigerian man thrills his fellow men after he revealed extra measures he put in place to ensure he does not cheat on his wife.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, Joshua shares that it is almost impossible to be faithful to the way the world is set up. He, however, adds that men who want to be faithful have to be extra smart. In a Twitter thread, the man lists out the extra measures he had to in place to ensure he does not get tempted to cheat on his wife. His post had gained a lot of attention, causing his fellowmen to dish him accolades. He wrote: “To be honest, the way this world is set up, any man who wants to be faithful to his wife has to be somewhat extra. Yesterday, the 29th of April, MandyKiss went on Instagram live, to call out actress, Funmi Awelewa for unfollowing her on Instagram. She also said that the actress unfollowed her without explanation and has refused to respond to her texts. In another video, she ahead lights on what informed her actions. According to Mandy, her godmother, Funmi is fond of spreading rumors about her, even to those younger than her. She stated that she did nothing to deserve such an hurting treatment from her.

“N300 billion INEC chairman used for ‘selection’ should have been used for infrastructure” – Falz opines

Phenomenal rap artist, Falz is of the opinion that the 300 billion naira that was used to conduct the 2023 elections would have better been used for the nation’s infrastructure.

The “Soft Work” hit maker said this in a tweet on his official Twitter page. This comes following the irregularities and controversies which have trailed the elections which held in February and March.

Falz who holds that what had been done by the INEC chairman, Yakubu Mahmood, was selection, rather than election said that the sum could have been channeled to bolster Nigeria’s infrastructure. Falz wrote: “Make we no forget say over 300 BILLION Naira wey fit build beta infrastructure, Mr Yakubu use am conduct Selection.”

Evicted housemates of the BBTitans show, Justin Peters, was welcomed home with open arms by his neighbours after weeks on the show.

It would be recalled that Justin alongside two others was kicked out of the show following Sunday’s live eviction; ending their race for the $100K grand prize. The 20-year-old photographer from East London, South Africa is seen in a recent video being applauded and ushered into his neighbourhood by familiar faces who danced with the BBTitans housemate. Some cyber users have dug up old tweets of Afrobeats singer, Davido old days of drinking cassava flakes a.k.a Garri.

Up to three tweets made in almost three consecutive days in 2011 showed that the singer talking about the food he was having for the day, which all turned out to be garri. Most notably, in one particular tweet, he revealed that he had just finished off four bowls of garri.

A father and his son both professional doctors jointly save a patient’s life by conducting a delicate surgery side-by-side.

Twitter user, Tochukwu Eneh took to the platform to share a rare bonding moment with his father who has been a medical practitioner for over 30 years. Tochukwu, who hopes to be as experienced as his father someday shared a photo of them performing surgery on a patient together. “Father and son saved a life last night. 30 yrs experience versus Dr Tc 😅. I’ll get there someday. #surgery,” he wrote.

Indonesia stripped of Under-20 World Cup hosting rights

FIFA on Wednesday, March 29, stripped Indonesia of the right to host this year’s Under-20 men’s World Cup. The decision to remove the Asian nation as host of the tournament starting in May was taken by FIFA after the Indonesian football federation (PSSI) said it had cancelled the draw because the governor of Bali refused to host Israel’s team. FIFA said in a statement; “FIFA has decided, due to the current circumstances, to remove Indonesia as the host of the U-20 World Cup 2023. “A new host will be announced as soon as possible, with the dates of the tournament currently remaining unchanged. Potential sanctions against the PSSI may also be decided at a later stage.”

The loss of hosting rights will be a big setback in Indonesia, where football has a massive following, despite the lack of international success since qualifying for the 1938 World Cup as the Dutch East Indies. Earlier this month, protesters marched in the capital Jakarta waving Indonesian and Palestinian flags and demanding Israel not be allowed to participate. Indonesia’s population is predominantly Muslim. Earlier this week, the PSSI said losing hosting rights would harm the Indonesian football team’s chances of taking part in other FIFA tournaments, while the economic losses would amount to “trillions of rupiah”.

The Ogun state Police command has finally disclosed the reason for issuing an arrest warrant for controversial singer, Portable. According to the Command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the singer had been invited to the police station on five separate occasions, but he refused to comply with the invitation.

Portable was summoned for questioning after a report was filed against him, and the police had also sent an invitation to him through his father twice, but he still did not show up. “We have also sent an invitation to him through his father like two times, yet he did not show his face,” he said. Following his continuous refusal to honour the invitation, the police obtained an arrest warrant for Portable from a court of law. “When the officers got to the place to carry out the arrest, Portable, on sighting them, stripped himself [email protected] to create a scene. He isn’t above the law,” the police spokesperson added. Recall, on March 28, Portable had taken to Instagram Live to accuse some police officers of harassing him in his office.
