Source: Getty Spurs turned down the chance to acquire the Netherlands international on a permanent basis, but he is now back in the Premier League for a third time, with Everton signing him for the 2023-24 season. Danjuma had rejected a move to Everton in January because of uncertainty over the managerial situation. He has now agreed to accept Everton’s latest approach amid interest in him from Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest. He told the club’s website; “It’s been a long time coming to join such a massive club as Everton and it makes me proud. “I had interest from other clubs but there was a pull towards Everton because of the fans, the manager and the history of the club and it’s second time lucky for me. “I know I did not move to the club in January, that was because there was some uncertainty over the manager situation at that time, but I think it makes it even more beautiful for me to join now.”

Source: Getty Danjuma is Everton boss Sean Dyche’s second close-season signing after former Aston Villa defender Ashley Young joined on a free transfer. The Dutch footballer added; “I hope to bring a lot of goals and a lot of assists. The manager has improved the team and there is a process ahead with him in charge that I am excited to be part of. “There’s no vein in my body that doubts my quality, and I’m very determined to now show that for the Evertonians.” Danjuma has six caps for the Netherlands and was a key member of the Villarreal side beaten by Liverpool in the 2021-22 Champions League semi-finals. This will be his third spell in the English top flight after signing for Bournemouth in 2019 and leaving for La Liga in 2021. 
Speaking to Newcastle’s website, Harvey Barnes said; “I’m delighted. It’s an amazing club and for me it’s a massive opportunity to come and be involved in a successful team that’s doing exciting things, so I’m absolutely buzzing to be here. “I think it’s an attacker’s dream to come into a team like this; it’s high paced, it’s physically demanding, but you can see the rewards of that with the chances and the goals scored, so I think I’ll certainly suit the style.” Barnes, who travelled to Tyneside last week to undergo a medical, is the third addition to a squad which finished fourth in last season’s Premier League with AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali and Odense striker Yankuba Minteh, who has been sent out on loan to Feyenoord, having arrived earlier this month.

Source: Getty A graduate of the Foxes’ Academy, he made 187 appearances for the club, which was relegated to the Sky Bet Championship at the end of last season, and is an FA Cup winner as well as a full England international. Despite scoring 13 Premier League goals last season Barnes could not prevent Leicester from being relegated to the Championship and was also courted by Aston Villa, Tottenham, and West Ham this summer before opting to join Howe. Although Newcastle’s Saudi Arabian majority owners are nothing if not wealthy, their room for transfer market manoeuvre this summer is restricted by Financial Fair Play regulations and Howe appears resigned to postponing his attempts to sign an extra centre-forward until at least January.
