Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw didn’t keep mum to the heavy criticisms she received for hosting APC Governor, Hope Uzodinma‘s fundraiser. Many were taken aback by the movie star’s hosting role at the celebration, considering she was a fervent advocate of the Labour party government and had harshly criticised the APC leadership.

On Thursday night in Owerri, Imo State, Kate Henshaw and comedian Okey Bakassi organised a fundraiser for APC governor, Hope Uzodinma. The governor, who is rerunning for governor of Imo state, wanted to raise money with the fundraiser.

As the event’s videos circulated online, many harshly criticised her. Kate Henshaw disclosed that a close friend had called her when she woke up to tell her that she was trending on the internet. In defence of herself, she said that she accepted her colleague’s invitation to hold a fundraiser and didn’t understand why so many people were upset about it. She claims that what sets her apart from other people is her unwavering commitment to speaking the truth as she perceives it. Kate Henshaw wrote: “Someone called me this morning to check the X app. I was invited to host a fundraiser alongside my colleague. I accepted, my prerogative. What is the noise about? Earlier, Dammy Krane had posted on his social media page, recalling an incident from 13 years ago. He wrote: “who brought out this tweet factually I was the first person to call David ‘On the Beat is Davido’ when he produced “Pooner’ for me in 2010 ( 13 years ago) we was like Dbanj & Donjazzy” On October 27, Dammy Krane posted on the same social media platform, using wordplay on Davido’s nickname ‘OBO’ to say, “Owe B Owe, Owe Owe One, DAVID-Owe. Please pay me my money, I’m not begging you, it is payment for my work! You don’t have to run away.” However, not long after, Davido responded on his social media page, asserting that he never received payment for the three verses he had gifted Dammy Krane, which contributed to Dammy Krane’s career. Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia, best known as Omah Lay, has sparked mixed reactions after revealing his current stand on religion. Recall that the singer, in a recent interview, acknowledged that he was formerly devout but had reverted to his previous ways after becoming well-known and wealthy.

Omah Lay described his upbringing in a Christian household and how, at one point in his life, he considered becoming an Islamic convert. He still believes in God, even if he is no longer religious, but he has chosen to prioritise humanity over religion. He claims that although he still respects and acknowledges the existence of his Creator, he is currently no longer interested in religion.

Omah Lay said that there is no proof that God or his servants wrote the holy book in order to support his position even more. In his words: “I think as soon as I made money I just switched, I just believed in God and respected God and became more human than religion, I just don’t enjoy religion anymore.
