Notable singer, Eva Alordiah opens up on the reason for a break from her music career, alongside her silent battle with depression after going broke. In a recent post via the micro-blogging platform, X, the rapper gave her fans an insight into why she pulled back from doing music.

Eva Alordiah Eva revealed that she struggled with keeping up and at some point lost herself to depression and her bank balance was not helping. She, however, revealed that it took self-determination to get herself together by investing her time in books, and other recreational and business activities. Reflecting on how far she has moved from being down to running multiple businesses now, Eva Alordiah revealed that the experience was worth it. Depression had taken an almost permanent seat beside me. My bank balance was just enough to buy my next meal. If there was a picture of the phrase “Starving Artist”, it would have been my damn face. One day, I said “Fuck it! I got myself here, I’m gonna get myself out. I invested the next 3 years in relentless self development: – building my body

– investing in online courses
– learning how to make money
– building multiple online businesses I look back and I swear I wouldn’t change a thing! Taking responsibility for my shit helped me get my life back. Today my life is so much better because I was bold enough to say- “Na me fuck up!”

Nigerian woman narrates a near kidnapping attempt at the market

A Nigerian woman has explained how she narrowly escaped being an unfortunate victim of an alleged kidnapper. The woman narrated how she was at the market to make a purchase of some clothes, specifically bumshots on a Tuesday, the 31st of October. It was here that the man was walked up to her, begging that he tests some clothes on her body. According to him, he wanted to buy the clothes for his sister who did not accompany him to the market but they had the same body so she was a perfect fit. This seemed to enrage the man who immediately started shouting at her, asking why she was making the sign of the cross. Working with Davido was the most difficult time of my career

Victor Eugenie Adere, aka Victor AD, a young Afrobeat artist, recently revealed the most difficult phase of his music career in an interview. He stated that collaborating with Davido on the song “I Tire” was difficult for him due to circumstances beyond either of their control. During his interview, Victor also discussed the alleged altercation between him and the OBO, which was widely reported in 2021. During an interview with Naija FM, the young Afrobeat musician stated that he was not the one who penned Jowo, as was previously reported online.

Ex-gang leader pleads not guilty to Tupac’s murder

Duane “Keefe D” Davis, a 60-year-old former gang leader who was involved in the murder of Tupac pleaded not guilty in a US court on Thursday. Davis was charged in September 2023, following a disagreement with 2Pac in a casino, with the police alleging he planned the shooting with his late nephew, Orlando Anderson. The police showed hotel security tape from September 7, 1996, in which several men are seen assaulting and punching the suspect’s late nephew, which led to the singer being shot in retaliation while waiting in his car at a red light. Woman heartbroken as she sues her husband for allegedly defrauding her of N71m, court dismisses case

A suit filed by a woman, Mrs. Tega James against her husband, Mr. Lucky James, over allegations of fraud, has been dismissed at the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ogba, Lagos State. Mrs. James had accused her husband of defrauding her of the substantial sum of N71 million (Seventy-One Million Naira). Mr. Lucky James, aged 47, was arraigned before Chief Magistrate L.A. Owolabi of the Samuel Ilori Court in Ogba, Lagos State, on October 4, 2022. The case gained significant attention due to the substantial amount involved and the nature of the allegations.

However, in a Certified True Copy of the judgment dated February 2, 2023, and made available to The Punch on Thursday, Justice Owolabi dismissed the case against Mr. Lucky James. The dismissal was based on the fact that Mrs. Tega James, the plaintiff, had agreed to withdraw the case against her husband. The judgment issued by Justice Owolabi read in part; “This ruling is predicated on the application for the withdrawal of the charge by the complainant, James Amanda Tega. “The prosecutor led the complainant in evidence to confirm her intention and whether she indeed intended to withdraw the complaint leading to this charge against the defendant. She confirmed on oath that she wants to withdraw the complainant leading to this charge. “I have reviewed the uncontroverted oral evidence of James Amanda Tega and am satisfied that the complainant intends to withdraw the complaint leading to this charge against the defendant. Accordingly, charge number MIK/E/61/22 be and is hereby dismissed, dated this 2nd day of February 2023.” As a result of the dismissal, the court has cleared Mr. Lucky James of the charges, and the case will not proceed any further.
