He said that the show organizers offered him a bottle of Hero as payment for the performance on the show which held in 2017. The ‘Declan Rice’ crooner said: “I once was performed for a bottle of Hero beer. Me and Reeplay went to the show. We went in his black Amera car. He sold the car for N120,000. The car knocked on the road. When he came back, the car was bashed so we sold it for scrap. “The bottles of beer that were given to us weren’t even the planned payment. The owner gave it to us out of his generosity and also because he said our performance was great. This happened in 2017.”

How I lost a well-paying job because of a bottle of beer

"How I lost a well-paying job because of a bottle of beer "

A man, former Safaricom employee Chris Kim, known as Chris Recovery, has shared the harrowing details of how a bottle of beer cost him his job at the telecommunications giant. Kim recounted the events leading to his job loss, revealing that a fateful day, he lost control while attempting to satisfy his hunger. “I used to drink a lot, so that day, I had taken a walk and was very hungry; I was just telling God to help me get food as I had not eaten that day,” he said.

Kim bumped into an ex-girlfriend who gave him KSh 100, with which he purchased basic food items. However, his day took a dark turn when he decided to enter a local pub named Kwa Irungu for a quick drink, as he explained that each glass of beer cost KSh 25. Once inside the pub, Kim found himself receiving drinks from others, and before he knew it, it was already 3 am. Unbeknownst to him, his employer, Safaricom, had been desperately trying to reach him. “A call centre manager had tried calling me. I had gone as far as where the brothel was to go and ask the ladies to sleep with me on credit,” Chris added. He went on to share the shocking revelation that he sold his sofa to a neighbour after entering his house at 4 am. The repercussions of that night extended to his professional life, with Safaricom ultimately terminating his employment. “I went to a pub called Aston Villa, and that is the last time I went to Safaricom. They really looked for me, asked my sister Angela, but I was nowhere to be seen. The termination letter was given to my sister,” the man said. Despite the loss of a well-paying job and the disappointment of his family, Chris Kim believes that his journey took a turn for a reason. “My colleagues are now managers, but I always say God had a purpose. If I had stayed there I would have drunk myself to death and wouldn’t have helped other people in the rehab,” he added. Chris, who has since found sobriety, now dedicates his life to helping others overcome alcohol addiction. Urging fellow alcoholics to seek help and avoid playing the blame game, he emphasizes the importance of facing one’s demons and embarking on the path to recovery. Chris acknowledges the magnitude of his loss. In his words; “It was a big loss, my family was disappointed.” However, he hopes that by sharing his story, he can inspire others to confront their struggles, seek assistance, and embrace the possibility of a brighter future beyond addiction. FA Cup final: Have the right portion of beer

GistReel

Pep Guardiola has told Manchester City fans to be on their best behaviour and also take the right amount of beer at Wembley stadium on Saturday, June 3, when the club faces Manchester United in the FA Cup final for the first time. There is heightened tension because United have a chance to stop City from securing a treble to match their 1999 record. There were 34 arrests when the teams met in the semi-finals at Wembley in 2011 and authorities will be hoping to avoid a repeat. Victory for City would leave them just one game (next weekend’s Champions League final against Inter Milan) away from only the second-ever treble in English football history. Speaking to Manchester City fans ahead of the match, Guardiola said; “I will ask our fans to behave properly first and, secondly, go there to enjoy an incredible event. The players will give everything to beat Man United. The consequences and the result, who knows? I don’t know. Erik ten Hag doesn’t know it, so it’s going to be a football game. Enjoy the moment. When the people travel – unfortunately with the train strikes – enjoy [the occasion] and enjoy next week to prepare the [Champions League] final, dream to see the team. It’s the best way. We will do everything to beat United. I understand completely that City fans were in the shadow [of United] for decades, behind United, playing the first time in the history of the FA Cup a final against them. Try to do the best game possible. Have fun, enjoy the right portion of beers before the game and that’s all.” City has not won the FA Cup since 2019 when they thrashed Watford in the final. Another winner’s medal would be an 11th major trophy for Guardiola at City.

I’ve never confronted her cos I don’t have concrete evidence. As she’s no longer giving d guy money, he started dating another thick madam. My wife heard they were at the beer parkour. She told me she wants to go and do pedicure.
Only for me to receive a call that they are fighting. Even the owner of the beer parlor has called police. Though they have not arrived. If you are the husband, what will u do?
Turn back and go home for she to meet me at home. Go there, show my face and turn back and go home. Settle the matter and drag her home.
As for the marriage, it’s over already.”
