Lady narrates how 2 yahoo boys she sat with in a bus almost implicated her during a police stop
A Nigerian lady identified as @Atilolahafeezah on Twitter has recounted a harrowing experience where she narrowly escaped being implicated by internet fraudsters, commonly known as “yahoo boys,” during a police stop. The incident occurred during a trip from Ibadan to Ilorin, as she found herself seated with two individuals engaged in fraudulent activities. According to her narration on Twitter, the lady disclosed that during the journey, the police stopped the vehicle she was traveling in, and one of the yahoo boys seated next to her handed her his iPhone with an unusual request. He allegedly asked her to falsely claim ownership of his bag if questioned by the officers. Confused and frightened by the idea, she expressed concern that the bag might contain incriminating items. However, the fraudster assured her that the police would not inspect the bag. Despite her fear, she reluctantly agreed to the plan as she did not want to draw unnecessary attention. Upon being questioned by the police, both the young lady and the other passenger denied any association with the bag in question. To their dismay, the security personnel insisted on inspecting the bag, suspecting there might be illicit items concealed within. To their astonishment, the officers discovered an assortment of voodoo items inside the bag. In her words; I sat with 2 criminals (gbona gbona yahoo guys) from ibadan to ilorin. When the police stopped us, the one that sat beside me gave me his iPhone and said I should tell the police men his bag is mine I was like how nahh that what if they check the bag and they see something that can implicate me, he said they can’t check it I was sha scared 😂. Alfa gives lecture to Yahoo boys (Video)
In a video that has gone viral on social media, a Muslim cleric has shared an unusual piece of advice for internet fraudsters, commonly known as “Yahoo boys.” The cleric, known as Alfa, warned those engaged in cyber fraud not to send messages to foreign clients using Nigerian phone numbers. According to Alfa, doing so would ruin the potency of a special soap given to these fraudsters. The video, which has attracted significant attention online, features the cleric cautioning those already chatting with their victims without a foreign phone line to desist from doing so. The reasoning behind his advice lies in the belief that the special soap, presumably a ritualistic object or talisman, loses its effectiveness when used alongside a Nigerian phone number. While the cleric’s advice may seem peculiar to many, it has sparked reactions from netizens across various social media platforms. @velly_oniroyin said; “Now if Efcc carry you say make you com explain hope say you go fit explain well ? Arindin Alfa 😂” @ibrolet_06 said; “Mistake wey people Dey do be say all these ones no be alfa dem be babalawo” @oluwagbeminija_ said; Most of this Alfa wey dey do soap for online na retired yahoo boys coz Alfa go take know talkatone 😂 na to ask for spending limit remain na 😂.” See below;
Yahoo boys donate big generator to a church for welcoming them…
In a remarkable turn of events, a church located near Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho (LAUTECH), has received appreciation from a group of individuals known as “Yahoo Boys” for not condemning their activities, unlike other places of worship. The incident was narrated by Chris Popoola, a former student pastor at the church, who shared his experience and shed light on the implications of the story. According to Chris, during his time as a student pastor, the senior pastor of the church frequently criticized the activities of Yahoo Boys, which resulted in their withdrawal from attending services. Seeking acceptance and understanding, these individuals flocked to another nearby church that did not judge them for their actions. The surprising twist occurred when news spread that the Yahoo Boys had collectively purchased a noiseless generating set, commonly known as a “Mikano gen,” as a gesture of appreciation for the church that welcomed them without condemnation. The new generator was intended to alleviate noise disruptions during services, thus demonstrating their gratitude. Chris utilized this anecdote to highlight a deeper message about sinners’ search for validation and spiritual guidance. He wrote; “When I was a student Pastor in a church in Lautech Area, I remember how yahoo boys stopped coming to church and trooped en mass to this other church because my senior pastor would not stop warning them. Not long,we heard yahoo boys bought Mikano gen for this other church. The point of my story is – sinners know where to go when they want to hear the truth of God’s word and they know where to go when they want validation. Don’t let yourself be a motel for validating sinful lifestyle rather be the spot where they find conviction by the Holy Spirit.” See below; When I was a student Pastor in a church in Lautech Area, I remember how yahoo boys stopped coming to church and trooped en mass to this other church because my senior pastor would not stop warning them. OPM Pastor said he felt sad and regretted sending the boys abroad after they called him out on Instagram, reason he placed a curse on them. His words: “Number one, I have forgiven them. Placing a curse is done out of anger. I have forgiven them because they are my children.” The pastor added that it was wrong to say he abandoned the boys.
