I’ve been waiting to join PSG for a long time, and it’s finally happened. It’s a very special day for me and I’m very happy to be here.” Hernandez was born in France but raised in Spain, playing his youth career at Rayo Majadahonda and Atletico Madrid before progressing into the latter’s senior team. In 2019, he joined Bayern Munich, and has enjoyed four years of success with the German giants, winning the Bundesliga title every season, as well as the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2020. However, injury limited his involvement for Bayern Munich last season. The defender was restricted to 11 appearances because of a knee ligament injury suffered while on duty for France at the World Cup.

He always gave everything, we were always impressed by his fighting spirit and his passion. FC Bayern wishes him all the best for the future.” Following another season marked by yet another failure to win the Champions League, PSG has been active in the transfer market. In addition to hiring Luis Enrique as its new coach, the French champions have also signed Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, Manuel Ugarte, and Lee Kang-In. PSG have also seen Argentina World Cup winner Lionel Messi exit the club following the end of his contract, while Junio Dina Ebimbe joined German side Eintracht Frankfurt. Spanish defender Sergio Ramos has also left Parc des Princes following the expiration of his PSG deal, and Argentine striker Mauro Icardi is in talks with Galatasaray following a successful loan with the Turkish club last season.

At just 17 years old, he made his debut for the first team in 2018, after spending seven years with the club. After representing Valencia for three seasons, featuring in 62 matches and scoring three goals, Lee Kang-In moved on to Mallorca in 2021. Though he suffered a mediocre debut campaign, the 22-year-old got a breakthrough year in the 2022-23 season. Primarily operating as a winger but equally effective in a central role, he played in 39 matches across various competitions last season, netting six goals and providing six assists. 22-year-old Lee Kang-in signed a five-year contract with PSG after a reported €22m (£18.8m) deal, and he’s now the Ligue 1 champions’ fourth new signing of the current window. Lee follows Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio,  and Manuel Ugarte to the Parc des Princes and departs Mallorca following a successful two-year spell with the Spanish club.

I can’t wait to start this new adventure. “I have known Paris Saint-Germain since I was small. They are one of the best teams in the world. I have also been following the French league for a long time too. It’s a very competitive league, which boasts a lot of very talented players. “My position on the pitch can vary, I am a midfielder that is capable of playing on both wings. I’m a skilful player who’s comfortable on the ball. I’ve got a lot of desire and a thirst to win. I’m here to help the team as a whole, with the aim of helping the team to win. “My objective is always to help the team as much as possible, to help the club to win every match and as many titles as possible.”

French football club, PSG has confirmed signing midfielder Manuel Ugarte from Sporting Lisbon for a reported 60 million euros (£51.1m). The 22-year-old Uruguay international signed a five-year contract that will keep him at the Parc des Princes until June 2028.

I’m going to give my all for Paris Saint-Germain.” The footballer made his first-team debut for hometown club CA Fenix at the age of 15, before moving to Portugal to play for Famalicao and getting snapped up by Sporting. The 22-year-old was called up for the World Cup in Qatar last year and has eight caps for Uruguay. Chelsea were at one stage considered to be the favourites to sign Ugarte, who also attracted the interest of two other Premier League teams in the shape of Liverpool and Aston Villa. Ugarte is the third player to be recruited by PSG this summer after Skriniar and Asensio signed on free transfers. France’s 2018 World Cup-winning defender Lucas Hernandez is also expected to arrive as new coach Luis Enrique looks to strengthen his team for next season. However, there remain ongoing questions about the future of Kylian Mbappe, who said last month that he would not extend his contract, which expires next year. If there is no change to his stance the club must sell the player in the current transfer window, otherwise, they will likely lose him for nothing when his deal ends.

RB Leipzig confirms Gvardiol wants to join Manchester City

RB Leipzig confirms Gvardiol wants to join Manchester City

RB Leipzig sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed Josko Gvardiol has requested to join Manchester City as talks between the clubs continue. Treble-winning City wants reinforcements at the back and were told by the Bundesliga club late in June that a world-record fee for a defender would be required for a sale to be facilitated. Interest from Pep Guardiola’s side dates back to April. RB Leipzig confirms Gvardiol wants to join Manchester City Josko Gvardiol on defence duty for RB Leipzig. Source: Getty Leipzig have already lost key first team stars like Christopher Nkunku, Konrad Laimer and Dominik Szoboszlai this summer. The departure of Gvardiol, who started 24 league games as his side came third behind champions Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, would be another hefty blow to the spine of last season’s team. Confirming that Josko Gvardiol has requested to join Manchester City, RB Leipzig Sporting Director Max Eberl told German outlet LVZ;  “I can confirm that Joško Gvardiol and agents told us about their desire to move to Manchester City. We are in talks with Manchester. That’s all there is to say at the moment. “Yes, for €100m plus bonuses, Gvardiol will end up in Pep’s strong hands. The value of the deal would make Gvardiol the most expensive defender in history. But it might take a few more days.” RB Leipzig confirms Gvardiol wants to join Manchester City Josko Gvardiol celebrating a goal scored for RB Leipzing. Source: Getty Gvardiol has a £97m release clause in his Leipzig contract that becomes active in 2024, but City wants to sign him now. Guardiola has long been an admirer of the young centre-back, particularly his ability on the ball and in duels. The City boss plans to use a four-centre-back system again next season so would rather sign Gvardiol than a full-back. His transfer fee might eclipse the £80m forked out by local rivals Manchester United to Leicester for Harry Maguire back in 2019. Gvardiol had previously been wanted by Chelsea last year but no agreement was ever reached before he signed a new contract with Leipzig. His arrival would add to Guardiola’s strength in central defence. Consistent roles were found for Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji, and John Stones throughout the successful 2022/23 campaign, while Aymeric Laporte often warmed the bench or featured in lower stakes outings.

Arsenal defender Pablo Mari has confirmed that he will be leaving the Gunners following a three-and-a-half year spell. Marotta said; “Manchester United expressed a particular interest, but that needs to blossom into making a proposal over the next few days. Once that happens, both Inter and the player will make a careful evaluation.” United will soon have to make a decision on a bid for Onana but also have the matter of De Gea’s future to resolve. Even if De Gea can be convinced to stay at Old Trafford, United could still pursue a move for Onana, with manager Erik ten Hag keep to find high-level competition in goal. 27-year-old Onana moved to San Siro from Ajax last July, and he impressed football lovers at Inter during the 2022-23 campaign, helping them to reach the Champions League final, in addition to lifting the Italian Super Cup and Coppa Italia title. He also featured for Senegal at the Qatar World Cup, making his international debut in a group-stage game against the Netherlands. The Senegalese star is expected to compete for a role in Pochettino’s frontline next season along with Nkunku, Armando Broja, and David Datro Fofana. With Nicolas Jackson confirmed, Chelsea now needs to clear more deadwood in their attack. Romelu Lukaku, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Christian Pulisic are still on the club’s books, and they will all need to be sold in the coming weeks.

Reno Omokri confirms Tinubu attended Chicago State University

Reno Omokri confirms Tinubu attended Chicago State University

A socio-political activist, Reno Omokri, has confirmed that President Bola Tinubu attended and graduated from the Chicago State University. On Friday, the PEPC received a transcript from South West College, which was used to gain admission into Chicago State University by someone named Tinubu, who was identified as female. The transcript was admitted as evidence.

Reno Omokri confirms Tinubu attended Chicago State University

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his party tendered the document along with other documents to prove the allegations in their joint petition challenging Tinubu’s declaration as the winner of the February 25 presidential election. Reacting, Omokri cautioned the PDP, saying Tinubu should not be attacked based on lies because God will lift him above his attackers. The staunch ally of Atiku stressed that Tinubu graduated with honours from the Chicago State University. Tweeting, Omokri wrote: “I worked for Waziri Atiku Abubakar to win. I pray he unseats Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition Court. And I am not pursuing any political appointment or job offer from Tinubu. “However, it is false to assert that Bola Tinubu did not attend Chicago State University. I went there physically. I did a video broadcast from their campus. I met their officials. Tinubu attended and graduated from Chicago State University with honours, and they even have a photo of him in their alumni office as one of their most accomplished alumni. “Not only did I go there physically to expose Tinubu (only to find out that he attended), I also asked their registry to put what they told me in writing. “Attached is the letter they gave me. You can also go there physically, as I did, or email or phone them if you doubt this letter given to me. “The man is no saint. His past cartel links indelibly taint him. But let us be fair, honest and transparent as we oppose him. If we attack Tinubu based on lies, God will just disappoint us further and appoint him greater.”
