Manchester United were one of several top clubs to have held an interest in the 24-year-old, with manager Erik ten Hag desperate to add more goals to his squad. However, the Dutchman seems to have moved on quickly after learning of Napoli’s £100 million-plus price-tag. With their financial restrictions, such a price would be out of the question for Manchester United. Other heavyweights such as PSG, Chelsea, and Liverpool are also said to be competing for his priced signature. While Osimhen has just two more years on his contract with Napoli, the club’s President De Laurentiis has remained stubborn in refusing to entertain any offers and has maintained his stance. Speaking at the launch of Napoli’s new kit, the club president said; Osimhen will cost ‘more than indecent’ price - Napoli President warnsVictor Osimhen at a match for Napoli. Source: Getty ‘Osimhen will absolutely wear this new jersey. If a more than indecent offer were to come in, then we’d get over it and would be able to find other talents. Don’t worry, here there is the Azzurri passion that enflames our hearts.’ Osimhen had also made it clear that he is happy at Napoli after they won the Serie A title last season in style. He told Soccernet; ‘I have never seen a city crazier about football like the way the Neapolitans are. ‘They show all their players love. And wherever I go to, I am being respected. Kids love me, a lot of people admire me, they idolize me by putting on the replica of my mask. ‘It shows the hard work I have given to them and what I mean to them. And for me, there’s no better place to be than this place. ‘I am so happy I made the right choice by coming here. And achieving this kind of greatness with the Neapolitans is something that I will wake up and always smile about. ‘My children’s children will come into this world and realise that their father has done something amazing.’

"That 2 minutes will cost him 10 years"

An unidentified man recently found himself making headlines for his ill-fated attempt to steal from a store owner. Entering the store discreetly, the suspect donned inconspicuous gray attire and approached the store cashier, demanding access to the cash register in order to pilfer its contents. Meanwhile, a vigilant lady who had been keeping an eye on him discreetly began to distance herself from the counter, urging other customers to do the same. After a few minutes, all the customers followed suit and left the store, waiting outside while the suspected thief carried out his thieving spree. However, when he finished satisfying his urge to steal, he discovered he was unable to exit the store. Desperate and realizing the gravity of his situation, he sank to his knees, imploring the store owner for mercy and release. Regrettably for him, his pleas fell upon deaf ears, and in a short span of time, the authorities were notified. The police promptly arrived at the scene and took him into custody.

In response to this incident, a concerned TikTok user named Scott expressed his thoughts, saying, “Those two minutes of greed may cost him a decade behind bars.”

Sudan: FG clarifies reason bus evacuation of Nigerians cost $1.2m

The Nigerian Government gives clarification on why it cost the sum of $1.2 million for the buses that were used to evacuate Nigerians from Sudan. The government stated that the amount was negotiated under the “condition of war.” This information was provided in a joint statement released on Saturday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development.

Sudan: FG clarifies reason bus evacuation of Nigerians cost $1.2m

The statement was signed by Amb. Janet Olisa, the Director overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, MFA, and Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, the Permanent Secretary, FMHADMSD. “The general public is also advised to discountenance unverified information being circulated on social media as some of them are either due to ignorance or sheer mischief. The outcry over the negotiated sum of $1.2 million for the buses hired for the exercise, is uncalled for. “The amount in question was negotiated in a condition of war and where there are competing demands for the same bus services by other countries also trying to evacuate their citizens. Therefore, cooperation and understanding of all and sundry are required to complement ongoing efforts aimed at ensuring the safe return of every Nigerian trapped in Sudan,” the statement clarified. An undisclosed transport company was paid N150 million by the Central Bank of Nigeria through the National Emergency Management Agency on Tuesday at 12:37 pm, The Punch reported. This money was released by the government to hire 40 buses to transport stranded Nigerian citizens from Sudan to Cairo, Egypt, due to the current crisis in the country.
