According to the security official, Burna Boy was prepared to take the stage when one of his team members, who was in charge of the stadium lights, encountered difficulties operating the equipment using his laptop. The lack of a backup laptop exacerbated the situation, as the London stadium operates under a strict curfew. If the concert exceeded the designated time limit, Burna Boy would have been required to halt his performance, and his promoter would have been obliged to pay a fine of £150,000 for every additional 30 minutes that they exceeded the deadline. A Nigerian man named Nnamdi, who was attending a course on International Sports Law, shared a video in which the chief security officer explained the incident. Nnamdi commended Burna Boy for his insistence on perfection rather than compromising with a substandard stage setup. In the video, the security official emphasized Burna Boy’s meticulousness and how he refused to go on stage until the stadium backdrops were functioning correctly. He wrote; “Burna such a perfectionist. Having a lecture at the London stadium and the head of security explaining how Burna refused to go on stage on time because the stadium back drops were not working properly risking £150,000 fine for each extra 30.” See below; Burna such a perfectionist. "INEC deliberately delaying proceedings, refusing to provide documents we asked for" ― Peter Obi cries out

Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi Respondents are Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) president Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima and All Progressives Congress (APC). The LP and Obi told the Presidential Election Petition Court that due to INEC ‘s refusal to provide them the documents they asked for, they can’t go on with their case. Mr Jubrin Okutepa, counsel for the LP, told the court that all the documents his client asked for from INEC were not provided. ” We are bringing this to your notice for your intervention because we have done everything humanly possible. ” This afternoon, INEC released few IreV reports from Lagos and Gombe. ” These documents were certified since May 29. We have severally written letters detailing the documents we needed as proof of our petition. ” We have paid for most of these documents, “he said. He further informed the court that it appears that INEC was deliberately delaying proceedings. Mr Abubakar Mahmoud, SAN counsel for INEC, told the court that he received a letter dated May 15 from the petitioners and has not received any other letter after that. ” All the documents that the subpoenaed witnesses are tendering were provided by INEC. We never denied the petitioners any document. “I am a senior counsel and know the importance of this matter. They should stop this lamentation, ” he said. Mr Wole Olanipakun, SAN counsel for Tinubu and Shettima promised to ensure that a meeting between senior counsel holds to address the issues raised. The court urged them to come to a better understanding so that the proceeding can go on smoothly as they pledged in their spirit of cooperation. The petitioners through their counsel, Patrick Ikweato, SAN brought their seventh witness (PW 7) to come and testify. The subpoenaed witness, Loretta Ogah, is an architect with Amazon Web Services Incorporated (AWS) At the point of adopting her witness statement on oath, the respondents objected. Mahmoud, told the court that the petitioners just served them with the documents. ” I will not be in the position to examine the witness today, I need to study the documents ” he said. Olanipakun also objected to adoption of the witness statement. ” We are not saying that the witness should not go on with her evidence,” he said. The petitioners tendered the witness’s employment letter by Amazon and her resumé and were admitted in evidence. Also admitted were six reports showing the health status of AWS dashboard of cloud services in 33 regions and certificates of compliance. Meanwhile, the five-member panel led by Justice Haruna Tsammani adjourned until Tuesday for the cross-examination of the witness and further hearing of the petition.

Burna Boy apologizes to fans after delaying

Multi-talented Nigerian singer, Burna Boy finally tenders a heartfelt apology to his Lagos fans after, lashing out at them during his concert.
Burna Boy
Burna Boy, whose real name is Oluwadamini Ebunluwa Ogulu had earlier announced that he would be opening the year with his Lagos concert.
On the 1st of January, 2023, the proposed concert failed to kick off in time, due to a 7-hour delay by the Grammy-award-winning singer.
Rather than take full responsibility, Burna Boy said ‘sour’ words to his already agitated fans adding that “God will punish those of them who do not love him.” However, things took a different turn last night, after Odogwu tendered an apology to them.
Read Burna’s apology below;
“Lagos,
I love you but I can’t do this again. The organisational structure and infrastructure is not there for the complexities of my audio and Production needs.
Let’s be clear. I wasn’t late, my band wasn’t late. We pride ourselves on being highly professional especially with our stage craft. There were three options available to me; wait for audio to be fixed and delay the show, come out at izpm as planned with no sound or call breach of contract and pull the plug.
I know I can’t go all over the world and neglect my own people so I’m taking matters into my own hands! I’m gathering the troops to work on building world class infrastructure in the Nigerian entertainment business.
Investors and stakeholders interested pls hit me up, we need to make some changes I apologise to my fans for how hectic it was, thank you for staying and weathering the storm with me.
I commend my band @fromtheoutsiders for making lemonade with the worst lemons we’ve ever seen!
Wonder X, KC Kennedy, Olisa Adibua and Creative Economy Catalyst (CEC) did an abysmal job of executing anything and my fans should never have had to go through that.
I’ll see you all again, on spaceship time! No one else’s.”
