Tragedy as fence collapses on kids

All hands tends to be on deck as able men get into action to rescue kids trapped under a collapsed fence. As a result of the heavy downpour witnessed in all parts of the country, recent report have proven that a fence had collapsed on a building with two children in the house.

As at the time of filing this report, all efforts to rescue this kids have proved abortive. An emergency call has been placed for help but help is yet to arrive. Men of the community are making all efforts to ensure the rescue of these unidentified siblings. The incident takes place at number 25, Alao Street, Ishawo in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state. In a daring act of self-defense, a woman bravely ignited a fire on her fence to repel a group of illegal landgrabbers who attempted to forcefully take over her family house in Lagos State. The incident unfolded on Wednesday, May 24, at a residence situated on Sere Close Off Adeola Adeleye Street in Ilupeju, Lagos.

Photo Credit: @lindaikejiblog Source: Instagram A video that circulated on social media captured the alarming scene as the landgrabbers relentlessly pounded the fenced gate with sledgehammers in their bid to gain access to the building. According to a family source, the group claimed that part of the property had been “given” to them and purportedly emerged from a nearby mosque on Adeola Adeleye Street. However, the family members residing in the house steadfastly refused to grant them entry, urging the landgrabbers to resolve the matter through legal channels. Undeterred, the aggressors persisted with their illegal actions, ignoring the pleas of the residents.

She procured petrol and set fire to the fence, creating a barrier between the landgrabbers and their unlawful intentions. The flames served as a potent deterrent, forcing the intruders to retreat for their own safety. Upon learning of the incident, the authorities were promptly notified, and the police arrived at the scene. They successfully extinguished the fire, but no arrests have been made thus far.. The landgrabbers, though temporarily thwarted, have not returned to the property since the encounter. “No arrest was made, and they haven’t been back as of yet, but they’re threatening to return to complete their mission,” the source said. Every now and then in the Northern State, professional drivers show off their skills with dangerous moves which often garner a mammoth crowd. A video making the rounds on social media captured a crash scene from stunt drivers while showing off different moves with their cars.

Two drifter vehicles were critically damaged after running into obstacles. Onlookers were seen helping to secure the stranded vehicles while disappointment is seen on the faces of some who wanted the show to continue. Watch the video below …

Bank workers scaling fence to evade aggrieved customers

Some officials of a certain Nigerian bank have been captured on camera scaling a barbed wire fence to escape angry customers. Varied reactions by Nigerians have trailed the scarcity of the new Naira notes which were introduced last year.

Numerous videos have shown some Nigerians waiting hours on long queues to use the ATM, while others have resorted to sleeping over to catch a spot the next day. More extreme and intense reactions have also been recorded as some residents have stormed banks to destroy properties both of the bank and its workers. To avoid falling victim of being manhandled by some aggrieved customers, some bank officials had resorted to scaling fence with ladder. Although it is not known where the incident occured, a viral video online captures the staff taking turns to climb a fence. Watch the video below:

Lamenting in Igbo dialect, the man complained about his wife always receiving calls from boys and her habit of frequently charging her phone so she doesn’t miss any amorous appointment.
