Celestial church set on fire as dead body with missing parts is allegedly found on premises (Video)

A Celestial Church located in Badore, Ajah area of Lagos State is set on fire following reports of a dead dead body found on the premises with its parts missing. A report making rounds on social media captured a video of a church’s property set ablaze by an angry mob over a manslaughter act orchestrated at the location.

However, an individual was said to have been murdered and his body parts taken out. In response to the act, the community destroyed the church building and set it on fire. It is also alleged that the church is particularly known for such acts; however, this was the only time it met its Waterloo. A Twitter user @Anietie41dude took to the platform to share the video with the caption, “Pastor of Cele church at Ajah, precisely at Alasia kills an Aboki by the name Dogo for rituals. His corpse was discovered this morning inside the church when to look for him. When they discovered his corpse this morning, his eyes and tongue were already removed. According to his people, they said the Pastor approached him last night to help them dig a soak away in the church. Unknown to Dogo(name of deceased) they wanted to use him for rituals. This morning his People went to look for him at the church. The Pastor told them he had fallen into the soakaway and had been rushed to the hospital, but his people did not believe the Pastor.” A community member also stated in a video, “See this church wey dey Alasia; dem see dead body inside the church. According to a family source, the group claimed that part of the property had been “given” to them and purportedly emerged from a nearby mosque on Adeola Adeleye Street. However, the family members residing in the house steadfastly refused to grant them entry, urging the landgrabbers to resolve the matter through legal channels. Undeterred, the aggressors persisted with their illegal actions, ignoring the pleas of the residents.

She procured petrol and set fire to the fence, creating a barrier between the landgrabbers and their unlawful intentions. The flames served as a potent deterrent, forcing the intruders to retreat for their own safety. Upon learning of the incident, the authorities were promptly notified, and the police arrived at the scene. They successfully extinguished the fire, but no arrests have been made thus far.. A tragic incident occurred in Lagos on Friday as a fire outbreak gutted shanties at the popular Alaba International Market in the Ojo area of the state, destroying properties worth millions of naira. However, mobs reportedly prevented fire emergency responders from accessing the scene to put out the fire for undisclosed reasons. The incident has left traders and shop owners at the market in distress as their livelihoods have been severely affected.
