The car owner, captured in a video, credited a friend for introducing him to the transformative engine modification. According to his account, the conversion process cost his friend approximately N60,000. This modification allows vehicles to efficiently run on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), a distinct fuel type from the widely known Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). During the demonstration, the vehicle was filled with CNG in less than three minutes, showcasing its rapid refueling capabilities. To the astonishment of onlookers, the cost of refueling the tank amounted to just above N1,800, underscoring the remarkable affordability of this alternative fuel option. Additionally, the car owner confidently asserted that the usage of CNG is safe for the engine. It is crucial to note that Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) represents a significant departure from conventional fuel sources, providing an environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative. As a cleaner-burning fuel, CNG emits lower levels of harmful pollutants, making it a more sustainable option compared to traditional petroleum-based fuels. @Phellype said; “Make una try dey hide update from Tinubu oo.” @JideJimoMokwenye said; “So if Tinubu nor enter power we nor go get this update before?? @BB said; “Very soon gas go expensive.” @olusolataiwo593 said; “Good morning, please where can i convert my toyota camry 2000 model to use CNG in lagos?” @kelly said; “Nigerians we be must survive any which way.” @OLUWASOGO BEN OBITAYO said; “Please ooo I need to convert my own.” @Ahmds_007 said; “But the cng needs more frequent maintenance and oil change from regular basis, but it’s a great initiative tho.” See below; @daddymickeylove #cngconversion #fyp #nipco ♬ original sound – daddymickey

Petrol may sell at N750 per litre if subsidy is removed — Stakeholders warn

This information was revealed during an online workshop themed “Deregulation of the Nigerian Downstream Sector: The Day After,” with participants including representatives from various industry bodies such as ARDA, NMDPRA, MOMAN, DAPPMAN, IPMAN, NRL, PETROAN, FCCPC, PwC, and CITAC Africa. During the workshop, stakeholders stressed the importance of the government addressing the challenges facing the sector, while expressing their full support for the planned full deregulation. The National President of IPMAN, Mr. Chinedu Okoronkwo, warned that the projected pump price of petrol could rise to N750 after the full implementation of subsidy removal, but could drop to around N500 if the government provided foreign exchange for marketers at the official rate. Okoronkwo also urged the government to allocate expected savings from subsidy removal to the provision of palliatives for the masses and to be aware of public backlash.

Naira Scarcity: Kaduna residents cooperate with petrol stations, drivers for cash

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, people are seeking cash to meet their urgent needs since most banks’ ATMs in the city have run out of cash and POS operators have shut down for the same reason. As a result, individuals are flocking to fuel stations that accept cash payments for fuel purchases rather than electronic transfers. Reports revealed that individuals in need of cash are reaching an agreement with fuel buyers. They pay for the fuel electronically and receive cash in exchange from the buyer. People who were interviewed at one of the filling stations said that this arrangement provided relief to many individuals who had been experiencing severe hardships. “I got wind of this arrangement today and went to a petrol station dispensing fuel, talked to a commercial bus driver, and he accepted to help me.
“We agreed that I should pay N7,000, through the station’s PoS, being the cost of his fuel, which I did.
“When it was his turn to be dispensed of the fuel, I presented the N7,000 slip, and collected the cash from him in return; it was a big relief to me as I had no cash on me.
“The major challenge is that it is not everything that can be purchased through electronic transfer of money; there are some needs that can only be satisfied using liquid cash”, said Adamu Saleh, a resident.
