Ramsey Nouah influenced my relocation to Nigeria

Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has recounted her first encounter with Ramsey Nouah and how he influenced her to relocate to Nigeria.

Adunni Ade

According to Adunni, she met Ramsey Nouah in 2011 who shared pieces of advice with her on how to penetrate into the movie industry. Fast forward, 12 years after their first meeting on the set of a new movie, a grateful Adunni Ade wrote: “I have told this story a few times but in 2011, I met bro @ramseynouah in Owings Mills, Maryland. I later requested to have a talk with him which we did at a mall close to DC. He gave me some pointers I still hold.on strongly to 12 years later. He said, if you really want to pursue Acting in Nollywood, you’d have to move out to Nigeria and be in the faces of the Nigerian audience. He added, there are 2 ways to make it to the top. The fast route or what seems to be the slow route. You look like the one who would take the slow route (not sure if he really saw that in me or speaking unspoken words). It might seem like it’s taking forever, a bunch of no’s, rejection left and right. But keep pushing until you get to the top and best believe you will remain at the top for a very long time. Growing up, he was someone I constantly made reference to, that if someone who looked like me could make it in a country I thought did me wrong, I could too. Every time I see him, I make it a conscious decision to always thank him. I’m sure he’s always wondering but why? Bro Ramsey! You have an amazing spirit! You are far too kind! You didn’t have to help direct me on a path I had already chosen but you did! It has always been my dream to work with you and 12 years later. The magic happened. Getting a call from @chrisodeh to work with y’all on the set of TOKUNBO was mind-blowing! To you and your team! Thank you for making me enjoy the set! As [email protected] as it was, it’s one of my favorite production have been part of. Ramsey is a well-detailed individual. An auteur! Barbara, Susan, Efe, Rex, Teju pretty much everyone on set! Y’all are extremely professional! Y’all keep it that way…….”.

A lot of people have diverse and weird reasons why they relocate from their countries to other countries. While others relocate to seek greener pastures, others also relocate to enjoy their lives in a different environment.
Author Oyinkansola has taken to her Twitter page to disclose that a lot of people have been asking her why she relocated from Nigeria to Dallas, Texas, for two years.
According to her, anytime she’s asked such a question, she tells them she doesn’t want to spend her years praying for a constant power supply in the country. She added that she needs softness and normalcy in her life.
“When people ask me why I relocated from Nigeria to Dallas, Texas 2 years ago, I simply say; ‘I am an elderly person, I can’t be praying for light at age 38’. Nothing deep. My soul deserves softness and normalcy”.

Shatta Wale finally opens up on 'quarrel' with mum; reveals how she ruined his dad's U.S. relocation plans (Video)

Popular Ghanian singer and songwriter, Shatta Wale has finally revealed the real reason behind his behavior towards his mum.

The controversial singer revealed in a video that his mother had ruined their father’s plan to relocate them to the United States by deserting the father some years back.

In his words:
“I’m from a broken home. My mother left my father some time ago when we were young. When I was in SS 1, we used to study about 13 subjects in a day and I didn’t have the mind for that. My brain is no factory. So, I told my father that I can’t continue that.
“At that time, he wanted all of us to relocate to the states, Miami to be precise. He had a contract there and wanted all of us to migrate to the US. My mother didn’t think about my father’s plans and left him. She ran from home and left us. My father tried tirelessly to get her back. God is our witness. As a result of that decision, I grew up in hard conditions.”
