The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Is-haq Oloyede, has responded to the claims made by Ejikeme Mmesoma, a candidate who recently sat for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Addressing the controversy surrounding Mmesoma’s result, Mr Oloyede stated that investigations conducted by JAMB revealed that the accused candidate “was either duped or she is a member of a high-level syndicate engaged in manufacturing fake UTME results.”

Photo Credit: @google Source:google During an interview with Premium Times on Monday evening, July 3rd, the JAMB registrar stood firm in his position and emphasized that the document being presented by Miss Mmesoma “belongs to another candidate who took the examination two years ago.” Explaining further, Oloyede highlighted a critical point of distinction. He said; “If you scan the code, the candidate’s result will show. So I can say emphatically that the girl is parading a fake result. It is either she is being duped, or she is part of a syndicate manufacturing purported JAMB results. “There are security features on our results, so I can emphasise that the girl is just trying to deceive the public. Her result is completely fake. Her claim that she printed the result from our site is a lie, totally incorrect. If we should reveal all that we know, people will be shocked. So if people are looking for shortcuts to achieve an end, that is what would happen.“

Scotland stun Spain as McTominay's double delivers epic Euro 2024 qualifying result

McTominay was handed a start after his super sub appearance against Cyprus on Saturday, March 25, when he scored twice in the last six minutes of play to give the Scots a 3-0 win. The Steve Clarke-led team started like a side hungry for a statement victory and they were ahead after seven minutes. Andy Robertson’s pressure forced Spurs’ Pedro Porro into a slip and the skipper needed no second invite to nick the ball and cut back perfectly for McTominay to side-foot home past Kepa from 10 yards. McTominay got his second goal just seven minutes into the game. He had Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney to thank for it. The Arsenal defender nabbed the ball ten yards in his half and put on the burners, racing up the wing past two Spanish markers. Scotland stun Spain as McTominay's double delivers epic Euro 2024 qualifying result His cross to the six-yard box was only half cleared by David Garcia and McTominay sprinted onto the loose ball and smashed it home. It was Scotland’s first win against the Spaniards since 1984 when Jock Stein’s side won 3-1 and probably their best result since beating France in 2007. To put the win into context, Spain has suffered only one defeat in their last 38 Euro qualifiers and only two defeats in World Cup qualifiers since 2006.

"APC is a slap on the face of democracy" — GRV fumes, rejects INEC's result

The Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) rejects the election results collated by INEC. Following the announcement of the incumbent governor, Sanwo-Olu leading in the state after clearing 17 Local Government Areas out of 20, GRV released a statement. In a series of tweets, the Labour Party candidate insisted that APC used thugs to intimidate his supporters and that results from his situation room confirmed that he won. Statement from GRV Rejecting Lagos State’s Election Results “Firstly, I would like to thank all Lagosians, especially our supporters for coming out to vote yesterday for us. I’m convinced that with you in our corner, a NEW Nigeria is imminent. However, I am saddened by the confirmed reports of violence and gross disenfranchisement of voters who only wished to perform their civic duty. Attacks on polling units, voters, and our party agents are totally antithetical to what we stand for & what Lagos truly represents. Collusion between the ruling party and electoral officials to return the candidate of the APC is a slap on the face of democracy and everyone who came out to vote for us on Saturday. In the light of this, I am convinced beyond any doubt that the results being released by INEC do not represent the wishes of majority of peaceful Lagosians. More so the results from our field agents and situation room indicated that we won this election. I am a champion of the people, we are far from done. Do not lose hope, do not waver. This is not over, we have not come this far to accept outright lies, criminality & falsehoods. A fight for FREEDOM is never easily won. Every vote cast for me was done in the face of intimidation and risk of personal harm. Every such vote must count. Defending every one of those votes is a sacred duty. I will defend your votes – this is my vow to every LP voter.”

"I regard Tinubu as a father" — Peter Obi clarifies, gives reason for challenging election result

“I have no issues with Tinubu. He is somebody I have so much respect for as a brother and regard as a father. I am only challenging the process through which INEC declared him as the President-elect. I have no issues with his declaration as the President-elect. “We are committed to a new Nigeria. We must do everything that is right. We need to build strong democratic institutions that will teach people what their job requires and what government is all about. The process through which people come into office is for me…far more fundamental than what they do thereafter. There is a process of doing things. There is a process of arriving at any destination. Like I said in my press conference, if you’re going to answer ‘His Excellency’, the process of coming to that position must be excellent. If you’re going to be a Bishop, there’s a process of being a Bishop.”
