Ned Nwoko, a prominent Nigerian politician and successful entrepreneur, has revealed that he declined an invitation to participate in the OceanGate submersible expedition due to his national responsibilities. During a period of mourning for the untimely death of his friend, Hamish Harding, a British business magnate who tragically lost his life while undertaking a voyage to explore the remains of the Titanic, Ned Nwoko shared this revelation.
Nigerian politician, Ned Nwoko Earlier reports indicated that Hamish and four others had been declared deceased following the disappearance of the Titan submarine they were aboard from the radar. The submersible’s implosion resulted in the tragic loss of all individuals on board.
OceanGate submersible Expressing his response to the devastating news, Ned Nwoko, a 62-year-old billionaire who was recently sworn in as a Senator representing the Delta North senatorial district, disclosed that he had received an invitation for the Titan expedition but was unable to accept it due to his preexisting commitments within Nigeria. Taking to his Instagram page, the respected businessman shared cherished photographs capturing moments he had spent with Hamish and conveyed the following message:
“I have lost a very dear friend and business partner. Captain hermish Harding. We both went on a very dangerous expedition to the Southpole Antarctica few years back. He was a gulf stream pilot who flew across the world in a record breaking expedition by Guinness world record for circumnavigation of the earth some years ago. He descended into the Mariana. he also invited me on his space shuttle last year and this very Titan ill-fated adventure but I was tied down with national duties.
“Above all he was a partner on the various researches into eradication of malaria in Africa project. He was very enthusiastic about it and always gave his support at every given opportunity. His last message to me was this last Sunday when he told me they were ready to dive to the Titanic if the weather permits. “He loved adventure and challenges. My heart bleeds for his dear wife and kids who have become family friends over the years. We will surely miss his wealth of experience.” See his post below:

Teams from Saudi Pro League have also shown interest in him even though MLS has been mooted as a potential destination for Antoine Griezmann who has expressed his desire to finish his career in the USA. With Griezmann earning £345,000 per week, there was a suggestion that Atletico could be tempted to sell the French footballer. La Liga’s strict salary limit is an issue for Atletico, and offloading Griezmann would allow them to improve their economic situation. I want it to be the best possible conditions when I go there, but it’s certainly an objective in the future.” Griezmann initially returned to Atletico on loan from Barcelona in 2021, and that move was made permanent last October after a lengthy saga that saw the club successfully avoid paying his €40 million release clause. Griezmann is currently with the French national team for their latest set of Euro 2024 qualifiers. Les Bleus are set to face Greece on Monday, June 19. In his two spells as an Atletico player, he has scored 157 goals and provided 76 assists in 341 appearances across all competitions.

Raul Fernandez who spoke to The Chelsea Spot said; “Enzo is comfortable, happy, and adjusting to London. He was happy about the arrival of Pochettino. Next season? My son wants to be a champion. “I think [we will see Enzo play further forward]. He was going to ask [Pochettino] to play further advanced.” The Argentine who helped his country to World Cup glory at Qatar 2022, became the most expensive player in British football after joining the Blues for £106 million ($137m) in January.
