Why I didn't sign Simi, Teni to my record label

Nigerian singer, Don Jazzy, has shared the reason he refused to sign Simi and Teni to his record label. In an interview, Don Jazzy expressed regret for not signing Simi and Teni, admitting that he liked their work and wished he had signed them. “I like Simi, I didn’t sign her. I wish I did. I like Teni, but I didn’t sign her. I wish I did”, he said.
Don Jazzy had also recounted how Simi partook in a Twitter contest where she did a cover for the song, ‘Journey of A Thousand Miles’, a record by D’Prince featuring Wande Coal. “I didn’t reject Simi. I did a Twitter contest for ‘Journey of A Thousand Miles’ ― D’Prince’s record featuring Wande Coal. I loved her cover. She was one of the people that participated. She didn’t win, but she was high up there. “I didn’t pick the winners. I liked her but you can’t sign anybody. That’s one person I also regretted; I won’t say regret, but I wish we worked on stuff together,” Don Jazzy said. Speaking of Teni, the beatmaker said, “The same thing with Teni. We used to check up on each other. I had not grown to the point that I would move you from Atlanta to Nigeria for work. Now I can and we work before deciding if we are going to sign. Before I knew what was happening, there were faster people. She released records and I was like, ‘okay, we lost that one”

Man calls out chef Dammy, questions her decision to sign N1 million deal with pleasure toy company

A Nigerian man identified as @Chrisblin on Twitter has call out popular Nigerian chef Damilola Adeparusi, widely known as Chef Dammy, for accepting a N1 million gift from the herbal company Fekomi. The company presented the monetary gift to Chef Dammy in response to relentless online trolls that have targeted and mocked her. Expressing his astonishment and disappointment, Chrisblin questioned why Chef Dammy, who was previously revered by many as a symbol of Christian values and moral conduct, would associate herself with Fekomi, a company involved in the sale of pleasure toys. He wrote; “Wait, Chef Dammy, who was hailed as the yardstick of morality and face of Christianity, has gone to sign a N1M deal with a sex toy company? ‘Satan, you do this one.” @Larrynextstreet said; “I asked when I saw the ambassadorial picture and asked if her pastor will allow her post things like that.” @etims_couture said; “A person said they want to cook for 120 hours which is 5 days and she did it in 3 days, how’s that Christianly of her? “She’s definitely not representing God.” @Jdadi_ said; “This chef dammy’s latest move is the same view i have of the muslim girl that ‘they’ converted recently but kept her long nails & nothing was said.Are they saying dhe wont pick up her hook.up calls anymore?” @Sir_franklyn said; “I remembered when they said a born again Christian deserved to hold the award as Hilda Baci was the child of the world.. Guess who is now the ambassador of sex toys? Her pastor fit even be her manager.” @Mima_Gift sai said; “Chef Dammy is the female portable, always in the news for the wrong reasons.” @oluwamedina said; “Lol I told someone that we all are going to hell cause I just don’t understand the world again.” @Gazelle_____ said; “Lmaooo, they said it’s a gift and not a deal but imo as the “righteous one” she wasn’t supposed to accept it.” See below;

Inter Milan pull out of race to sign Lukaku

Inter Milan have reportedly informed Chelsea that they no longer wish to pursue the signing of striker Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian forward arrived back at Chelsea for his second stint for a whopping £97.5 million back in 2021 from Inter. But after just one difficult season back at the Blues he was shipped off back to the Serie A club on loan last season. Source: Getty Lukaku scored 14 goals in 37 appearances during his loan spell with Inter last season and helped them to reach the Champions League final. Inter were desperate to keep the 30-year-old forward but they have so far been refusing to meet Chelsea’s asking price, despite it being vastly reduced from what they paid for him two years ago. They launched a second bid of £27.5m this week with the Blues demanding £34m, but have now allegedly pulled out of a potential deal. It was gathered that Inter Milan is furious after discovering advisers working on behalf of Lukaku had held secret talks with Juventus. While such conversations are legal and standard at this stage of negotiations, Inter have been left disappointed by the situation as they believed Lukaku’s only interest was returning to the Nerazzurri, a message insiders insist came from the player himself.

Bournemouth on Thursday, July 13, announced the signing of French midfielder Romain Faivre from Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais. Bournemouth paid a €15m (£12.8m) fee for Romain Faivre, who has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Premier League club. He’s been immediately sent on loan to Ligue 1 side Lorient, where he spent the second half of last season on loan. Bournemouth sign Romain Faivre on long term Romain Faivre playing for Lorient. Lyon have stated that they have a 10% sell-on clause on the 25-year-old, who made 28 competitive appearances for Les Gones. Commenting on the new signing, Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake told the club’s official website: “It’s great for the club to have secured such a talent in Romain. He’s a player we’ve been monitoring for a number of years since his move to Brest, and we were particularly impressed with his progress while on loan at Lorient. Lorient were keen to keep hold of Faivre for another season and have utilised their relationship with Cherries to facilitate the move. Foley, who is keen to pursue a multi-club ownership model, purchased a 33% stake in the Ligue 1 club earlier this year. Faivre on the other hand, is the second player to move between Bournemouth and Lorient since Foley completed his purchase of both clubs. Faivre, who turned 25 today, July 14, joined Lyon in January 2022 from Brest following three years at AS Monaco, where he mainly played for the reserve team.

In his words, “I like Simi, I didn’t sign her. I wish I did. I like Teni, but I didn’t sign her. I wish I did. Newcastle set to sign Harvey Barnes from Leicester

Newcastle United are closing in on the signing of Harvey Barnes and hope to agree a deal with Leicester City for the winger over the next week. Barnes has been a target of West Ham United, who had been at the front of the queue, and Aston Villa, but Newcastle have stolen a march on their rivals.

Source: Getty It is expected that Newcastle will submit their first bid for Barnes over the next few days, with the player keen to join the Champions League club. Newcastle’s manager, Eddie Howe wants to increase his options on the left wing and the club is expected to win the race for Barnes, who is likely to cost around £35m. Howe often used Alexander Isak, Miguel Almirón, Allan Saint-Maximin, and Anthony Gordon in the wide positions last season. Newcastle could make space for Barnes by selling Saint-Maximin, who has interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League, and need to add depth as they prepare to compete in the Champions League. Leicester have been resigned to losing Barnes since their relegation from the Premier League. They had hoped to receive £50m for the England international, who scored 13 goals last season, but are likely to have to settle for less. Newcastle had a bid rejected for the 25-year-old last summer. Newcastle had already announced the £60 million signing of Sandro Tonali earlier this week. The deal made the midfielder the most expensive Italian of all time, £11m more than the £49m Chelsea paid for Jorginho in 2018. The star has penned a five-year contract, which includes the option of a further 12 months, at St. James’ Park and can’t wait to get started for his new club.

He was one of the best young players in world football during his days with the German club. His exceptional performances and huge potential attracted the attention of numerous clubs from across Europe. Finally, Chelsea managed to acquire his services in a big money move back in the winter of 2019. While he did get off to a good start with the Blues, injuries have hampered his progress at the English club. Of late, the 24-year-old has gone down the pecking order. He might have featured in 30 matches last season but in reality, Pulisic was on the pitch for just over 1000 minutes.
