Man United’s target Adrien Rabiot signs contract extension with Juventus

French midfielder Adrien Rabiot has signed a new one-year contract extension at Juventus despite Manchester United’s interest. Adrien Rabiot was expected to leave Turin at the end of this month after his deal expired. However, the 28-year-old has penned a new contract to keep him at Juventus.

Since his arrival, no other Juventus player has registered more first-team appearances like Rabiot, who has turned out 177 times for the club, equalling veteran Juan Cuadrado’s record. Eventually, United went on to sign Casemiro from Real Madrid. With the Mason Mount deal on the rocks and Rabiot committing to another year in Serie A, Manchester United may now turn to Brighton and Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo. The Ecuadorian was interested in leaving Roberto De Zerbi’s club in January but a move elsewhere failed to materialise. The 21-year-old has a price tag of £80m but it is understood that United would be open to reaching this figure due to his potential.

Jobe is not the only member of his family to have been on the move this summer. His elder brother, Jude, made global headlines as he made a high-profile switch from German side Borussia Dortmund to Spanish giants Real Madrid. Bournemouth signs Justin Kluivert from AS Roma

English club, Bournemouth has confirmed the signing of Dutch winger Justin Kluivert from Serie A club, AS Roma. The 24-year-old Dutch winger has signed a five-year deal with Bournemouth who have paid £9.5m plus £850k in add-ons. The transfer is set to make Justin Kluivert the first Dutchman ever to play in each of the top five European leagues.

The former Ajax winger featured 29 times in all competitions for the Spanish side, scoring eight goals and providing two assists. During the 21/22 season, he was on loan in Ligue 1 for OGC Nice. During the 20/21 campaign, he was loaned to RB Leipzig, where he scored three goals in 19 Bundesliga appearances. Now, he’s officially a Premier League player. Justin Kluivert is a speedy and skilful winger with plenty of potentials. He predominantly plays as a left winger, but in the past, he’s played on the right wing and also as an attacking midfielder. He’s certainly a player to keep an eye on in the Premier League next season. Romeo Beckham, son of former England captain, David Beckham, has joined Brentford’s B team on a one-year deal, with the option of an additional year. Romeo Beckham was permanently signed by Brentford’s B team after joining them on loan from Inter Miami, the MLS club co-owned by his father. He made 15 appearances while on loan, scoring one goal against National League side Wealdstone. President Bola Tinubu, Monday, signed into law a students’ loan bill which would enable indigent students in the country to obtain a quality education. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. David Adejo Andrew, flanked by the President’s media team, led by Mr Dele Alake, member of the Presidential Strategic Team, disclosed this to State House correspondents, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Permanent Secretary while addressing newsmen in Abuja said, “We are very happy to announce to you that today (Monday), just a few minutes ago, the President His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, signed into law, the Student Loans Bill and that Student Loans Bill, you all know what it entails, what it connotes the meaning. “This is the promise made during the presidential campaign by the then-candidate, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that he will bring back the student loans issue to the front burner and today, that promise he made has been kept, he has just signed that bill into law, which henceforth, will allow or enable our indigent students to access federal government loans to fund their educational pursuit or career and this is how it’s done in other developed climes all over the world”. The student loan bill was sponsored by the Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and provides interest-free loans to indigent Nigerian students.

Dalot signs new contract with Manchester United

Portuguese footballer, Diogo Dalot has signed a new contract with Manchester United which will run till the summer of 2028, with the club retaining the option of adding another year. 24-year-old Dalot arrived at Old Trafford in 2018 and has since made a total of 107 appearances in all competitions.

18-year-old Nigerian midfielder, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro has completed his move from Nigerian Professional League side, Remo Stars, to Italy’s Seria A giants, Inter Milan.

Akinsanmiro who is an academy product of the club, signed a four-year deal with the Italian side. The transfer fee earned from the sale is yet to be declared. A statement released after the signing was completed read; “Midfielder, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro has completed his move to Italian giant, Inter Milan from Remo Stars. “The teenager who is an academy product of the club has signed a four-year deal.

Chelsea has completed the signing of Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for a club-record fee of £106.7million, a move that also smashes the record fee spent in the Premier League. The 22-year-old Argentine midfielder agreed to an eight-and-a-half-year deal that will keep him under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2031. The move comes after an intense transfer saga that went right down to the wire after initial negotiations with the Portuguese club were unsuccessful. Talks were revived late in the window, and Chelsea’s owners reached a deal with Benfica late on Tuesday evening. Benfica confirmed the sale of Fernandez in a statement on Tuesday night for transfer fee that breaks the British transfer record set by Jack Grealish in 2021.
