Veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva gives clarification on why she does not see movies shooting happen in her house at any point in time. She made this known during a youth development forum ‘The Roundtable Lekki’. According to the thespian, shooting movies involve a large number of people; one which she wouldn’t; want in her space. Joke Silva emphasized the significance of having studios and sound stages in Nollywood, which would provide suitable environments for filming movies. Joke Silva on why movies can’t be shot in her house “We shoot in apartments these days. But, I won’t allow movies to be shot in my home; it won’t happen. “I know the number of people that are brought into a shoot. There may be two people in a scene, but to shoot it, there will probably be about 20 people there. That means 20 people will put their hands on my wall, block the loo, and do other things. “We need to build our studios and sound stages, just like American filmmaker, Tyler Perry, has done. He built one of the biggest sound stages in the world. The thing with sound stages is that there are usually facades. I once shot a movie in France, but all the interior shots were taken in London, United Kingdom. All we did in France were the exteriors shots to give the ambience of that country. Sound stages give one control. It allows one to make movies at one’s desired pace.” Effect of streaming platforms on Nollywood “Streaming platforms have made it easier for producers to be able to exhibit their works. Technology has done that for us. There is a wide range of opportunities right now when it comes to movie distributions. Streaming platforms help us connect to a global audience.”
Silva was sent off during the game following a 72nd-minute incident that resulted in United being awarded a penalty by referee Chris Kavanagh. Speaking to reporters after the match, the Fulham coach had said; “Our story with Chris Kavanagh this season has been tough for us. Unfortunately, we have been very unlucky with him this season. Many moments. It is difficult to understand some of the decisions. We had that West Ham game away from home [in October]. We lost the game with two clear handball goals and it was Chris Kavanagh in that moment. Today, everyone saw what is happening in this game. It is difficult for them to not look for these things.” 
The Football Association has now alleged that Silva’s post-match comments “constitute improper conduct in that they imply bias and/or question the integrity of the match official, and/or bring the game into disrepute”. 45-year-old Silva has until Wednesday, 29 March to provide a response. This is coming after the Fulham coach was handed a first charge of abusive behaviour towards match officials during the 3-1 quarter-final defeat at Old Trafford. It was alleged that he threw a water bottle in the direction of an assistant referee. Silva faces a minimum of a significant fine in addition to a likely three-game ban for his touchline behaviour, although FA beaks could add an extra game to the suspension. 
The 38-year-old defender who has become a key player in the team since arriving at Stamford Bridge in 2020, has shown himself to be evergreen and has arguably been the Blues’ most consistent performer throughout the tenures of both Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter. Speaking to Chelsea’s website after signing the new contract, Silva said; 
“I am honestly so happy to continue my career with the Blues. “When I signed my first contract here, it was to just do one year. Now it is already the fourth! I could not have imagined that, but really it is a very special moment for me to sign and stay at Chelsea.”
