Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth has stated that he was never friends with his colleague, AY.

Speaking during a recent podcast with Nedu Wazobia, Basketmouth likened AY to a snake that can never change but rather sheds its skin to become a bigger snake. In his words: “All my men dey laugh me because they warned me say guy be careful because a snake can only shed its skin to be a bigger snake.

The Nigerian mom could be heard stating emphatically that her daughter’s friend’s group is behind her worldly lifestyle while referencing a nose piercing she recently got. She pressed on to withdraw medical responsibilities on her daughter should in case she has a complication like skin cancer.

According to her, she used to take contraceptive pills twice a week but out of fear of getting pregnant increased it to daily. Speaking on the reaction it, she stated that the pill has caused an irritation on her skin that gets bigger by the day. “Consistent taking of postinor 2 is very risky on my skin. My skin when I newly started taking postinor 2. I only took it twice a week, I thought it wasn’t working. Then I started taking Postinor 2 every day. started reacting to my skin and it’s very itchy and it’s getting bigger everyday,” she wrote.

A video making the rounds online has captured a Nigerian old woman who is reportedly 150 years old. The old woman was visited by the founder of Joy Peters Foundation, a place where they provide humanitarian services to the less privileged.

Joy visited to check up on the woman after hearing of her poor living condition and provided her with some basic necessities. In the video, the old woman was sitting in between her daughter and the lady in charge of Joy Peter’s foundation.

She revealed that her name is Aisha, after which she introduced her daughter. However, due to the flawlessness of her skin and her ability to freely move her body, netizens were too stunned to believe she is 150 years. NAFDAC declares state of emergency on skin bleaching

NAFDAC has declared that the prevalent use of skin-bleaching creams in Nigeria has become a national health emergency.

Mojisola Adeyeye, the director-general of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, made the declaration at the Media Sensitization Workshop on the dangers of bleaching Creams and Regulatory Controls, held in Kano on Thursday, 9th of February. According to her, “The World Health Organization study in 2018 revealed that the use of skin bleaching cream is prevalent amongst 77 percent of Nigerian women, which is the highest in Africa compared to 59 percent in Togo, 35 percent in South Africa and 27 percent in Senegal. These scary statistics have shown that the menace of bleaching creams in Nigeria has become a national health emergency that requires a multi-faceted regulatory approach.
Part of the approach is consultative and sensitization meetings like this. Another is a heightened raid on the cream outlets.”

A young lady identified as @Toria on TikTok has revealed how her new house help mixed a poisonous substance into her face cream. Toria narrated that her mother recently visited the village and returned with the girl whom she introduced as their new house help.

Mixed reactions have continued to trail a now-viral video showing the moment a lady rubbed an unknown black substance on her legs to whiten her skin.

The video has garnered thousands of reactions on Instagram, with many opinions claiming the black substance is a mixture made from charcoal
According to an Instagram user @Gouu2u, ‘the black substance is a charcoal mixture‘. He added: “It is an old procedure and technique for whitening the skin.”
Meanwhile, in the video, the lady could be seen deeply rubbing enough quantity of the black substance on her two legs before wash it off with water to unveil a lighter complexion.
Reacting, @Aluwa Joy wrote: “No matter how person bleach, him handpit, yansh, toto and blockos no go ever cooperate oooo.”
