Eye witness at Mmesoma Ejikeme’s JAMB hall narrates speaks

Eye witness at Mmesoma Ejikeme's JAMB hall narrates speaks

An eye witness at Mmesoma Ejikeme‘s JAMB exam hall has shared his experience with the embattled student on exam day. According to Ilumina Light, the student’s computer had a glitch and the examiners had to intervene before she could continue. He further noted that despite that, she was still able to score above 200. He appealed to Nigerians not to demean her brilliance. In his words: “What you don’t know is this. MMESOMA actually scored 249, a high score that can gain admission easily. It doesn’t stop there. During the CBT, her system developed glitches that took examiners quite some time to resolve before she continued, to finish same time with others. “To have scored that high despite probably not finishing, alongside the disorientation, is remarkable. Even more, she has reportedly being carrying first from primary to secondary school. “This is a girl too passionate about, not just studying, but excelling. She has a mentality for perfection and gives her all to get it – therein was the danger by the devil, and a lesson to us all, in the manner we seek anything in life. Avoid desperation. “Watch her interviews, and see the confidence oozing out, though her intellect was masterfully deployed to hide the truth, but then, if we condemn this little girl, we should equally take our minds back, to all those hurriedly sworn Affidavits from fully knowledgeable adults, scattered in billions of papers across the Country. “This young girl is filled with a rare brilliance we should harness for the growth of our society. We should not dim the great lights we have, else we eventually end with darkness and won’t find our way nomore. “As for MMESOMA, I have no doubt that God shall live up to his word and make her imperfection on this matter perfect unto his cause for her life.” See the post below:

Peter Obi’s counsel lambasts INEC over absence of witness in court

Dr Levi Uzoukwu (SAN), the leading counsel to the Labour Party (LP) and Peter Obi has blasted Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for showing a lack of preparation in defending its case at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPC). Uzoukwu made this comment on Monday, shortly after the court adjourned its resumed sitting, following the absence of INEC’s first defence witness.

Peter Obi’s counsel lambasts INEC over absence of witness in court

Dr Levi Uzoukwu (SAN) The PEPC was forced to adjourn after the first of three witnesses scheduled to appear on behalf of INEC failed to appear allegedly on account of what the commission cited as domestic issues. Speaking to newsmen just outside the court, the LP lawyer said his camp has a strong case and are ready to move on with their case, unlike the INEC that has continued to show inconsistencies. “Given the contradictions and inconsistencies and what INEC has done; I’m sure they are not ready to defend this case. “I stand to be proven wrong, but I would wish that they defend this matter so that the public will see more things of what happened to this election,” he told Channels Television While reiterating that Nigeria has never had an election like the February 25th presidential poll, the legal counsel stressed that it is the INEC’s choice to either call a witness or witnesses, adding that he and his client the LP, are ready at all times. It would be recalled that at the mention of the case around 9:30 am, lawyer to INEC, Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN), told the court that although his client planned to call three witnesses within three days, the one slated for today was unavailable on account of domestic issues. Lawyers to other parties in the case – Livy Uzoukwu (SAN) for Obi/LP, Wole Olanipekun (SAN) for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettma, and Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) for the All Progressives Congress (APC), did not object to the request by the INEC lawyer.

“Sanwo-Olu and his wife had invalid voter cards but were allowed to vote” ― Witness tells tribunal

"Sanwo-Olu and his wife had invalid voter cards but were allowed to vote" ― Witness tells tribunal

As the Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal continue to admit witnesses, an agent for the Labour Party, Mr Dayo Israel, appeared before the tribunal on Tuesday and gave a shocking revelation that the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his wife, Ibijoke, had invalid voter cards but were allowed to cast their votes in the March 18 governorship election. GistReel reports that the Labour Party’s candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, is seeking to nullify Sanwo-Olu’s return as Lagos governor.

"Sanwo-Olu and his wife had invalid voter cards but were allowed to vote" ― Witness tells tribunal

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Israel, who monitored Unit 006, Ward 15, Lagos Island Local Government, provided this testimony as part of the petition filed by Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour. The witness told the court that he observed the card reader indicating that Sanwo-Olu and his wife had invalid cards, yet they were still permitted to vote, which he considered a violation of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s electoral process. “I observed that the card reader showed their cards to be invalid but Sanwo-Olu and his wife were allowed to cast their votes and this is against INEC’s electoral process,” he said Under cross-examination from counsel to INEC, Charles Edosomwan, Israel alleged that he was beaten up by All Progressives Congress supporters on election day. He claimed to have recognised them as APC supporters based on their language and stated that they threatened to beat up voters who did not vote for the APC. He said, “I am not a member of the Labour Party, but I was assigned as an agent. When the APC thugs recognised me as an LP agent, they beat me up. They also said if voters did not vote for APC, they would beat them too.” Israel further described the incident, stating that four individuals attacked him during the casting of votes, but he managed to escape, changed his clothes to disguise himself, and returned to monitor the vote counting. The witness also highlighted cases of multiple voting at the polling unit, noting that INEC officials failed to intervene despite witnessing the irregularities. The hearing on the petition has been adjourned until July 3, when the proceedings will continue.

INEC rejects Labour Party’s request to witness BVAS reconfiguration

GistReel

The Labour Party has dragged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for reconfiguring the BVAS without their witnesses.

BVAS

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rejected the request from the Independent Party to witness the reconfiguration of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines.  This action comes after the Court of Appeal in Abuja granted INEC’s request to reconfigure the BVAS that was used for the presidential election on the 25th of February, 2023. Yunusa Tanko, the spokesman for the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council said it was wrong for INEC to reconfigure the BVAS machines without any witness from Labour Party with the excuse that the data has been backup. “Are we privy or invited to see what was being backed up? If there is going to be transparency, what INEC needs to do is to invite everybody with their technical experts to see what the commission intends to back up from the original source. Was this done? “We didn’t want to use that as evidence in the court of law. INEC should not forget that we also have our own results. Anything contradictory to that particular result and what they backed up will be totally unacceptable to us. “It is clear right from the beginning that INEC deliberately went to court for reconfiguration of the BVAS machines after Obi requested to inspect election materials. Of course, nobody, not even you and I, know the commission can come up with anything like reconfiguration at this time. This was done after we demanded to inspect those machines. “When you are going into an arrangement, it is always important to tell people about the rule of engagement and ensure you don’t change it. But INEC keeps on changing the rule of engagement in order to cover their shady deals. It is unfortunate that we have to bring INEC down to this particular level.” Yunusa Tanko has however disclosed that Peter Obi and his lawyers are in talks about whether or not to appeal the court ruling on BVAS reconfiguration.

According to the narrative, the marriage has lasted for about 10 years, still, they remain adamant and unchanged.
The tweet reads:
“It is 10 years since my uncle got married to his beautiful, loving and kind wife. In 10 years, the parents of this girl have not seen their daughter or 3 grandchildren. Because my uncle is catholic and they are Jehovah witness, so the marriage shouldn’t have happened.

A week today, they left Nigeria with their children to further continue with their Medical careers. My mum, said the parents of the girl are threatening them. It is beyond hilarious for me and everything I believe in.”
