Former Manchester United striker, Andy Cole, has said that the club won’t be able to win the Premier League title even if they sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli. His goal against Udinese, helped Napoli win the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years. Speaking to BoyleSports ahead of an FA Cup final match between Manchester United and Manchester City, Andy Cole stated that his former club won’t be able to win the Premier League next season even if they succeed in signing Victor Osimhen. He said; “No, Manchester United can’t win the league next season. It frustrates me when people think that buying two more players, we can then win the league. So why are Manchester City in such a good position if all it takes is buying two players? Make it make sense. Two players, including Victor Osimhen, can’t help Manchester United compete for the league title.

Soure: Getty “Unless Manchester City don’t buy anyone this summer and say ‘we’ll let everyone catch us up.’ Football doesn’t work like that, so I’m honest when people ask if Manchester United can compete for the league title next season, I say no.” Also commenting on Jadon Sancho’s form, Cole said; “Sancho should do whatever he feels comfortable to do. Everyone knows he can be a great player, but sometimes you’re up and sometimes you’re down, that’s football in general. Once you go back to basics, like Marcus Rashford has done this season, you can be fantastic again. Only Erik ten Hag will have the final say on whether he has a long-term future at Manchester United or not. Manchester United need better players to compete for the title, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the summer.”

Subsidy: Local refineries beginning production won’t change fuel price

Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Mele Kyari has said that the notion that the price of fuel would reduce once local refineries like the recently inaugurated Dangote refinery begin production, is false. The NNPCL boss who spoke about the removal of fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu during an interview with Arise TV on Thursday, June 1, said that Dangote Refinery, Port Harcourt Refining Company, and others in Nigeria are not going to change the pump price of fuel despite the volume of products they push out. Port Harcourt Refinery will be fixed before the end of the year and it is expected that it would further boost local production of petrol. He said; “There is a notion that if the product is processed locally, prices will reduce. Let me make it clear that it is not going to change anything. If you produce locally, the refineries will also input the cost of production and other things and it will be sold at the current price. “There will also be no subsidy when local production starts because there is no cash-to-back subsidy, this country no longer has the resources to continue with subsidy.” Appearing in another interview on Channels Television, Kyari said fuel queues experienced across the country won’t exceed Saturday, June 3.

The key trouble with the PMS system is supply, but I have supplies. “There are over 810 million litres of PMS in depots, tanks and fuel stations across the country, so you don’t have the problem of transferring those from marine to land, you already have them on the ground.” On the PMS pricing document which went viral days ago, Kyari said; “You have seen a document in the space out there. Every company does this. It is a marketing document. It was not a price announcing document, every company keeps this record and adjusts it appropriately on the basis of changing conditions in the market.  “So what you saw was just an internal company document that found its way into the internet. It is an NNPC document but it was not intended to be an announcement and is not an announcement, because it can change the next day.”

According to Yeni Kuti, her father married 27 wives but her mother never sought divorce or leave the marriage so she sees no reason to divorce her husband for cheating when her mother stayed in her marriage. ‘’I wouldn’t leave my husband if he is cheating. That’s me. You can leave your own husband if he is cheating, that’s you. Don’t judge me. I am not judging you. My father had 27 wives, my mother didn’t go. So it’s me that will now go because of one girl? It cannot happen”.

Commenting on the singer’s trip, Falana told Punch; “Seun Kuti will stand his trial. Also, the Magistrate has ordered the police to send the case file to the Department of Public Prosecution. “Anytime he is required to stand his trial, he will appear in court. It should, however, be noted that Mr Seun Kuti is not being prosecuted in court whether by the NPF or any other prosecuting authority. “The DPP, after receiving and studying the police investigation file will decide the offences Mr Kuti is to be charged with. It is after being charged with specific offences that Mr Kuti will be arraigned to take his plea. If he pleads not guilty, trial dates will be set, and the trial will take place. While Teddy A appreciated her for being hardworking and also acknowledged the support received from Nigerians, he, however, took a swing at some of her supporters. In his words; “I’m so proud of Hilda the chef. Personally I don’t know her but iv seen her work. It’s also a great thing that Nigerians are supporting and showing up to support.

However I have only one question. And this is for the clout chasers. And fake souls. Now ask yourself. The way you left your home and drove all the way to the location where she’s cooking have you ever done the same for your friend who also cooks? Just to support their business and hustle ?
Have you left the comfort of your house to ever go support a friends canteen or buka or even regular business ? But you would drive miles to go and take pictures and hide under supporting one another. The fakeness for this una blood go die with una!”

Court cases won’t stop President Buhari to hand over to Bola Tinubu

Court cases won't stop President Buhari to hand over to Bola Tinubu

The Federal Government says that despite the court petitions filed by the Labour Party, it won’t stop President Buhari to hand over power to Tinubu.

The presidential candidates for the opposition parties have sued the All Progressive Congress (APC) and INEC over alleged rigging of the elections.  “On May 29th, there would be a peaceful formal transfer of power to the new President,” Boss Mustapha, chairman of the transition committee, has said. Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the presidential candidate for APC, Bola Tinubu with a total of 8,794,726 whereas his other rivals and candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, polled 6,984, 520 and 6,101,533 respectively.

The chairman of the transition committee, Mustapha told journalists, “all litigation, whether resolved or not, will not in any way stop the process”. He added that Buhari will not stay beyond the time allowed by the constitution. “The security committee has the responsibility to ensure that nothing happens to truncate the transition process. Nigerians are very law-abiding people”. “There are provided avenues for those” who lost in the election “to make whatever legal inquiry they want to make but the process would continue unabated”. We would not create another constitutional crisis; on May 29, the handing over will take place,” he assured.
