Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State urges Governor Ademola Adeleke to tackle the mounting insecurity in the state.

Chairman calls out Gov. Adeleke over rising kidnaps, death of APC members in Osun

The party expressed concern about the recent spike in violent attacks, particularly in the lead-up to, during, and after the general elections across the country. Osun State is said to be renowned for being one of the most peaceful states in the country until the 2023 general elections, particularly in the Osun East Senatorial District encompassing the Ife and Ijesa regions. Tajudeen Lawal announced in a statement on Monday, April 3, 2023, that more than 30 members of the opposition APC were reportedly murdered by thugs believed to be backed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Furthermore, the party condemned the kidnaps that transpired on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, and Friday, March 31, on the Osogbo-Ikirun road. Statement on attacks in Osun State reads in part “As of the time of making this statement with the exception of a woman whose release was secured by the police on Sunday, the victims were said to still be in captivity. “A caring governor would have either condemned the two kidnapping incidents in his territory within three days or rushed back from Abuja as the number one security officer of the state. “It is saddening that as I speak, Governor Adeleke has no comment of condemnation to his credit on all the murder incidents that happened so far in his four-month-old administration. “His handling of Osun affairs has shown that governance of a state is not a tea party which is the reason why it is not the best arrangement to make the state a laboratory for greenhorns in the management of the affairs of human beings and resources.”

Senator Ali Ndume comments on youth disillusionment with older generation in government

Senator Ali Ndume comments on youth disillusionment with older generation in government

The representative of Borno South Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly, Senator Ali Ndume, has shared his thoughts on the performance of Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP) during the 2025 general elections.

According to Ndume, the results of the polls showed that the younger generation and the middle class are becoming increasingly tired of the older generation who have been in government for decades. In an interview with Channels TV, he expressed surprise at the LP’s performance, particularly in Lagos and the South East, and stated that he never expected Peter Obi to get over six million votes. Ndume, who has been in the National Assembly for 20 years and is a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), believes that the signs are clear that the middle-income and youth groups are getting tired of the upper level, the people in their 70s and 80s who have been in power since their 50s. “Yeah, even in the general elections all over, especially. He (Obi) had six million votes. It goes to tell something that people don’t talk about: and that is to say that the signs are out there that the middle-income group or social group and the youths are getting tired of the — do I wven include myself? — upper level: people in their 70s and 80s who have been in the corridors of power since they were in their 50s.” He said.

"They took the glory meant for God and gave it to a human“ — Rev. Mbaka on outcome of presidential elections

Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka, a Nigerian Catholic priest popularly known as Father Mbaka, has expressed his thoughts about the Nigerian presidential elections.

Rev ejike mbaka

According to him, the glory that was meant for God was given to the Labour Party by Nigerians during the elections. He went on to explain that people even referred to the father, mother, and child in the Labour Party logo as “God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit”, which he believes is a form of blasphemy. Father Mbaka expressed his disappointment that Nigerians chose to give glory to a human instead of God, which he believes has brought the anger of God upon the country.

Peter Obi

“They took the glory meant for God and gave to a human, so the anger of God befell us,” Mbaka told his members. He further knelt at the altar to ask for God’s forgiveness and urged his members to interpret his message as they deem fit. Watch the video below:
