Davido unfollows Isreal DMW following alleged homophobic comment about Enioluwa

Nigerian singer, Davido Adeleke a.k.a Davido has unfollowed his logistics manager, Isreal DMW over alleged homophobic comments about the influencer, Enioluwa. This comes after reports about Isreal attacking Enioluwa in a homophobic tirade on his Whatsapp stories that went viral.

According to Instagram blogger Tosin Silverdam, the logistics manager to Davido also stated that 30BG is against homosexuality and that Enioluwa is allegedly into the trash, but his supporters insist that it is content. “We are not in support of gay, god forbid bad tin. They are into rubbish and dia useless supporters would day its content,” He said.

Following the alleged comments, a quick check revealed that OBO no longer follows his assistant on Instagram.

However, Isreal DMW responded to the rumoured report. He debunked the rumours in the comments section, describing the blogger as crazy. “UNA DEY MAD. NO BE ME AND UNA”. He wrote. Isreal DMW reiterated on his Instagram page that the articles were not written by him. According to him, they were created by fake accounts. “The write up was never from me. It is purely a manufactured fake account from impersonators. Thanks everyone. Never from me at all. I have no such account. Thanks everyone,” he wrote.

Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson Okojie has stirred reactions online after unfollowing her goddaughter, Destiny Etiko, and a few of her close colleagues.

A thorough examination has revealed that she has stopped following Destiny Etiko, Anita Joseph, Nuella Njubigbo, Oma Nnadi, and others. In return, Destiny Etiko has also unfollowed Mercy Johnson. Sources suggest that Mercy Johnson decided to unfollow Destiny Etiko because she did not support her husband during his political campaign, which he eventually won.

Many netizens have responded by claiming that the mother of four is adept at unfollowing her colleagues, particularly when they fail to praise her. One of Mercy Johnson’s fans, who liked a comment encouraging her to ensure that her husband delivers on his promises after winning the election, claims to have been blocked by the actress.

Court grants Nnamdi Chude ₦10M bail over alleged cyberstalking

Chude Nnamdi, a social media influencer, has been granted bail in the sum of ₦10 million by a Federal High Court over cyberstalking against Dr. Emeka Offor. On Thursday, Nnamdi appeared before Justice Gladys Olotu and entered a plea of not guilty to a one-count charge of cyberstalking. The court also required Nnamdi to provide one surety who must either be a level 14 civil servant or a resident of the FCT with verified landed property. The Inspector-General of Police sued Nnamdi as the sole defendant in the charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/130/2023. According to the amended charge filed on April 17, the police alleged that on March 13, Chude Nnamdi knowingly and intentionally sent a message through a tweet from his Twitter handle “Chude” by means of a computer system and network. “That you know to be false for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience, danger, insult, injury, criminal intimidation, enmity, hatred, ill will or needless anxiety to the person of Dr. Emeka Offor and thereby commit cyberstalking punishable under Section 24 (1)(b) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) ACT, 2015.”

During the arraignment, the prosecuting counsel, Victor Okoye, informed the court that he had an amended charge to present. Okoye orally requested to substitute the initial charge, which was filed in March, with the present charge. However, Gabriel Chikwado-Eze, Nnamdi’s lawyer, opposed the request, stating that Okoye could not arraign Nnamdi with the fresh charge since they had not been served with the charge. Chikwado-Eze argued that Okoye could not amend a non-existent charge if the existing charge had not been served on them. Okoye disagreed, saying that Nnamdi had never been arraigned before. The court granted the application and Nnamdi pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge. The prosecutor requested that Nnamdi be remanded in prison pending the conclusion of the trial, but Chikwado-Eze objected on the ground that the offence was bailable under the law, and Nnamdi had not flouted his administrative bail conditions. Chikwado-Eze urged the court to grant Nnamdi bail, and the judge admitted Nnamdi to a ₦10 million bail with a surety who must depose to an affidavit of means. The judge adjourned the matter until May 17 for the trial.

Lagos state Bishop remanded in prison over alleged rape of 2 church members

The Bishop of Lagos-based Reign Christian Ministry, Daniel Oluwefeyiropo (also known as Feyi), has been placed in Kirikiri prison after being arraigned for allegedly raping two members of his church.

On Monday, he was brought before Justice Ramon Oshodi at the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court. Oluwafeyiropo had previously been charged with two counts of rape, but he pleaded not guilty. The alleged incidents occurred in June 2020 at Ikota Villa Estate in Lekki, Lagos, and according to the prosecution, violated Sections 260 (2) of the Criminal Laws of 2015. Justice Oshodi granted the defendant ₦20 million bail and required two sureties to post bail for him. “The original document of the landed property must be submitted the chief registrar of Lagos State. The sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and must have three years’ tax payment to the Lagos State,” he said. The judge additionally ordered Oluwafeyiropo to hand over his international passport to the chief registrar of the court and expedited the trial.

Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Works and Housing, addresses the controversy surrounding the alleged dual citizenship status of President-elect Bola Tinubu. Tinubu’s alleged Guinean diplomatic passport was recently circulated on social media, causing some online users to criticize him for allegedly lying under oath to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). During an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Fashola stated that the issue of dual citizenship should not be a cause for worry. “I know he carries Nigerian passport, I don’t know of dual citizenship, I know he resided in abroad when he went on exile, I don’t know if they gave him American citizen or not,” Fashola said.

Nigerians have reacted to a viral report which alleged that the popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie didn’t father Judy Austin’s son.

The controversial opinion journalist, Kemi Olunloyo had taken to her Instagram page to disclose that she had heard that Yul Edochie’s son with Judy Austin isn’t really his. “I just heard that DNA tests revealed that Judy Austin’s son was not fathered by Yul Edochie,” she wrote.

Her post has elicited many divergent reactions from netizens, especially so because the actor had been on the news since last year after he unveiled the child, and took Judy Austin as his second wife.

Kemi Olunloyo gives details on how alleged plans to kidnap Tiwa Savage was foiled

Controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has alleged that there was an attempt to kidnap popular Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage.

The self-styled investigative journalist revealed this in a post on her Instagram page. Kemi Olunloyo claimed that an attempt had been made by Tiwa Savage’s domestic staff and some co-conspirators on Thursday, April 13, 2023.

According to Kemi Olunloyo, Tiwa Savage’s new driver had been feeding his co-conspirators information about the singers movements. She wrote: “Earlier today Thursday April 13th 2023, an attempt was made to KIDNAP Tiwa Savage in Lagos. A new domestic staff specifically a driver was passing information to his co-conspirators who have been trailing her as she left home for days. The guys have all been arrested with the help of vigilante style private security and they were handed to police at CID Alagbon in lkoyi.
