The spokesperson for the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, Kenneth Okonkwo addresses the leaked audio allegedly between Peter Obi and Bishop Oyedepo canvassing Christians’ votes.
Following a viral audio allegedly between the Labour Party presidential candidate and the founder of Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel), Kenneth has clarified the claim of instigating a religious war. The actor-turned-politician argued that Peter Obi sought help to push his message across to Christians just as he stated in the leaked audio about a meeting with the Olofa of Ofa — Muslim. “Our attention has been drawn to the publication of this audio tape of private conversation between @PeterObi and Bishop Oyedepo. It is not surprising that these political criminals are trying to spin the conversation as if Obi was making a religious statement. Firstly, the context of the conversation was aptly put by Bishop Oyedepo when he said “All Nigerians have equal stake in this nation, nobody has the right to claim that he is dashing something to someone”. H E @PeterObi was simply urging the Bishop to help him push this message of equal stake of all Nigerians in the Nigerian project to his people and the christiandom because the politicians of the other party is carrying on this campaign as if it is a religious war. To drive home this point, he informed him that he visited the traditional ruler of Offa, the Olofa of Offa, who is a Muslim, but who advised Obi to get the support of Oyedepo and be assured of his own support. No Politician has ever visited the Olofa of Offa,” he stated. Kenneth Okonkwo insisted that spinning the narration to mean Christian-Muslim competition is intentionally instigated by the opposition party, APC to stir a religious issue. He continued, “It is clear to everybody that the APC political party that has a Presidential Candidate, Vice Presidential Candidate, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, National Chairman of the Party all from one religion at a time the CJN is a Muslim is the Party that has declared religious war on Nigerians and we must all rise up together to fight this unconstitutional act of religious intolerance of other religions by APC. I went around with Obi on campaign train and never saw him discriminate against any religion. Of course he can’t because his Vice is a Muslim unlike APC. I resigned from APC because of their religious intolerance. Nigerians should disregard any insinuation of religious bigots about this tape.”
The Sun newspaper had released photos of the Manchester City striker which showed him in a car and with a phone on March 15, close to the Etihad Stadium. Greater Manchester Police has now confirmed they are aware of photos of Erling Haaland appearing to use his mobile phone behind the wheel of his car and are investigating the alleged incident. 
The 22-year-old striker who moved to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window in a deal worth £51 million ($63m) and has been a huge hit in the Premier League, could be fined £200 and receive six points on his driving licence if he is found guilty. City are yet to release a statement on the incident involving Haaland who has scored 42 goals in 37 matches this season. 
The club which has been referred to an independent commission is said to have recorded losses of £371.8m ($388.3m) over the past three years. According to Premier League rules, clubs are allowed to lose a maximum of £105m ($128.3m) over that time. The Premier League executives were made aware of Everton’s situation following a joint letter written by Leeds chief executive, Angus Kinnear, and Burnley chairman, Alan Pace. At the time of their joint letter, both clubs were threatened with relegation and both also indicated their right to make legal claims against the Premier League and Everton. Confirming the charges, the Premier League said in a statement; “In accordance with Premier League Rule W.82.1, the Premier League confirms that it has today referred an alleged breach of the League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules by Everton Football Club to a Commission under Premier League Rule W.3.4. The assessment period for which it is alleged that the Club is in breach is the period ending Season 2021/22. 
“The proceedings before the Commission will, in accordance with Premier League Rule W.82, be confidential and heard in private. Under Premier League Rule W.82.2, the Commission’s final award will be published on the Premier League’s website. The League will be making no further comment until that time.” Reacting to the development, Everton said they are disappointed with the decision, adding that they are “prepared to robustly defend” their position to the commission. The club said in a statement; “Everton Football Club is disappointed to hear of the Premier League’s decision to refer an allegation of a breach of Profit & Sustainability regulations to an independent commission for review. “The club strongly contests the allegation of non-compliance and together with its independent team of experts is entirely confident that it remains compliant with all financial rules and regulations. Everton is prepared to robustly defend its position to the commission. The club has, over several years, provided information to the Premier League in an open and transparent manner and has consciously chosen to act with the utmost good faith at all times.” 
According to reports from Sahara Reporters, Bola Tinubu’s health failed after the hectic elections that took place a few weeks ago. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that Bola Tinubu is traveling to Europe for medical attention. “Tinubu has left for Europe for medical care. He fell ill after voting on Saturday during the Lagos guber election. He was attended to by local doctors but he has left for Europe for proper medical care,” one of the sources close to him revealed. “He initially said his doctors should be brought down to Nigeria for him, and that when things die down, he would leave. But I’ve confirmed that he left last night (Tuesday night) because he is definitely ill,” another source confirmed. “His plane Falcon 9X with registration number VP-CBT can’t be tracked by air flight tracking websites”, Sahara reporters stated.
