Man in debt cries as wife refuses to cook for children or talk to him over failure to buy sallah ram

"My wife doesn't love me "- Man in debt cries as wife refuses to cook for children or talk to him over failure to buy sallah ram

In a rather distressing situation, a Nigerian man has taken to social media to express his frustration over his wife’s refusal to cook for their children or communicate with him. The reason behind her actions, he claims, stems from his failure to purchase a Sallah ram this year.

Photo Credit: @Abdullahimisilli Source: Twitter The man, whose identity remains undisclosed, had an unbroken tradition of buying a ram for each Eid celebration over the past 12 years. However, financial difficulties, including mounting debts and the children’s school fees, prevented him from adhering to this tradition in 2023. The story was originally shared on Twitter by Abdullahi Misilli, a public servant, who attributed the account to journalist Lawan Bukar Maigana. The man, speaking anonymously, expressed his disappointment at his wife’s lack of understanding and support during this challenging period. Despite having ₦100,000 (Nigerian Naira) in his possession, he claimed that his wife’s behavior demonstrated her lack of love towards him, as she had never stood by him during difficult times. The man said; “I have 100k in my pocket. I would go buy a small ram for her, but Allah knows that my wife doesn’t love me because she never supports nor helps me in difficult times.”  He further disclosed that the only reason he had not divorced his wife yet was due to their children. @Erbdoul said; “May God help us, but the truth is children are the reason why some men (if not many) rethink whenever the issue of divorce bout slide in. And unfortunately, just unfortunately “there will always be a problem one way or the other”. So patience is just the thing but is difficult.”  @Kekksco said; “Thus incidences like these make the yet-married youths like us to be doubting on whether or not to settle for marriage soon. Ungratefulness. “May Allah ease their affairs, guide his spouse and family to the right path and continue to guide the entire Ummah to the righteous way.” @sadiqsolar said; “He shouldn’t buy it “for her” but see it as the ibadah that it is and if he’s not financial stable at that time,it is not mandatory for him.” @Drbabatundesaka said; “It is said that at some point in married life, the love from the woman gets tied to the provision the man makes even though it wasn’t so at the beginning.” See below; Yesterday, a married man, after listening to BBC Hausa news, told me that his wife has stopped talking to him and refused to cook for his children since the first day of Sallah because he didn’t buy a ram for her. Chelsea owners buy Ligue 1 club Strasbourg

The American owners of English Premier League giants Chelsea on Thursday, June 22, sealed a deal to take control of French Ligue 1 outfit Strasbourg. The deal is a major boost for the Premier League club’s owners, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, who have been looking for suitable clubs to purchase since last summer.

Source: Getty The initial expectation had been that Chelsea owners would be forced to settle for a minority stake in Strasbourg, leaving them unable to exert full control over the French club. However, it is understood Chelsea will have close to 100% ownership. The Ligue 1 outfit avoided relegation last season, prompting the Chelsea hierarchy to consider them for their global project. Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have been keen to build such a model, similar to that of Manchester City, following their takeover last year. The City Football Group owns 13 clubs around the world, allowing young players to be sent to satellite clubs on loan to gain experience. Chelsea is now looking to start their own group of clubs, beginning with Strasbourg, although their fans are less than thrilled. Strasbourg ultras have been pictured holding up a sign reading “Boehly, not welcome” after news broke of the investment. Commenting on the recent acquisition, Keller said; “This is an important day for Racing [Club de Strasbourg]. It’s something my shareholder friends and I have been thinking about for the past two years, “We’ve built a club that’s healthy at every level and well managed. Although there was no financial urgency, we were aware that we had reached the ceiling of our model. “If we wanted to continue driving Racing forward and projecting it into a new dimension, we necessarily needed to be accompanied by a solid structure capable of supporting our development and our ambition.” Reports in France have claimed Chelsea are paying €75m (£65m) for their share.  The Chelsea owners are also expected to buy shares in a Portuguese club and more teams could be incorporated into the Stamford Bridge outfit’s grand plans.

Nigerians who can’t afford new fuel price should buy bicycles or trek – Omokri

Popular political activist, Reno Omokri has advised Nigerians to buy bicycles or trek if they are unable to afford the new prices for fuel. Source: Google After the announcement was made by Bola Tinubu, fuel station dealers increased the prices of fuel and also hoarded their petroleum products. After the prices of fuel were increased, some celebrities have taken to their pages to complain bitterly. Celebrities like Timaya, Tiwa Savage, Speed Darlington, and others. Speed Darlington called for a referendum after he bought 5 liters of fuel for N5000 at a fuel station. In reaction to the ongoing saga, Reno Omokri has advised Nigerians who cannot afford the new fuel prices to trek or buy bicycles and use them for their daily activities. Taking to his social media page, he wrote: “I just returned from Ghana. They are an oil-producing nation, like Nigeria. Yet, they don’t have cheap petrol like Nigeria. Petrol (Premium Motor Spirit) in Ghana is GH₵13.2 per liter at the official rate, which is ₦550. Ghana does not subsidize petrol. That is why they have enough money left to put other things in place, like power plants for 24/7 uninterrupted electricity, good schools, and hospitals, etc.   “We can’t be pissing away our national wealth on an unsustainable fuel subsidy, which is mainly consumed by city dwellers who have multiple cars, and be surprised why we have infrastructural deficits.   “Lagos, Kaduna, and Abuja now have trains and commercial buses. Other states should follow suit. Nigerians who cannot afford the new fuel prices should be encouraged and helped by the government to acquire environmentally friendly alternatives, like bicycles.   “And let us trek some more. It is even good. Our population is exploding. We have one of the fastest-growing populations on Earth. Our population is growing faster than our economy. If we are too busy walking from point A to B, we will also be too busy to make babies we have challenges raising.”

He had sent cash to his father to buy a house and a car for him. Sadly, his father bought the properties and handed them over to his girlfriend. He lamented: “I sent my dad money to buy a house for me and added extra to buy Corolla so that when I come back I will use it. “Can you believe when I came to Ghana I went to the house only to realise a woman staying there.
