GRV is our candidate not Prof. Awamaridi — Labour Party
The Labour Party has debunked reports that its candidate for the Lagos gubernatorial election is Professor Ifagbemi Awamaridi and not Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivor (GRV).
In a circulating report, Awamaridi accused the Lagos Labour Party of submitting a fake withdrawal letter to INEC to remove his candidacy. The report made waves across the internet spaces on the 17th of March, 2023, a day before the governorship elections across the country.
Debunking the reports, the LP Lagos chapter via their Twitter page termed the claim as false while stating that it was the work of the opposition party. “This is FAKE NEWS. The handiwork of detractors. We call on all Obidients and members of the Labour Party to ignore this lies from the pit of hell but come out enmass and vote for Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour and all candidates of the Labour Party from Top to bottom,” the party wrote.
