Man vows to close his bank account after Tony Elumelu had dinner meeting with Bola Tinubu

A disgruntled man has expressed his intention to stop transactions with his bank after its chairman, Tony Elumelu hosted Nigeria’s president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The business magnate and economist had hosted the politician at his home after he emerged as the President-elect. Photos had emerged online which depicted the two esteemed personalities in an atmosphere of conviviality.

This had struck one or two nerves as one Nigerian identified as @SenatorEnrii took to his Twitter page to reveal that he has uninstalled his bank app and intends to visit his bank and close his account. Excerpt from his post read: “I just deleted my UBA app. Tomorrow, I will close my UBA account. I won’t transfer to or receive money from UBA account”

An online Nigerian businesswoman has taken to her page to lament about the current economic crisis and the scarcity of the naira note.

There has been a shortage of the naira note in Nigeria after the introduction of the new naira note by the government. This has affected citizens especially business owners. The businesswoman has takem to social media to lament over the low turnout in sales and as she is considering shuting down her business entirely. According to the entrepreneur who sells footwears, she was fed up with the whole situation and was willing to sell her goods at any price. She was heard saying, “The woman said; “Please in the name of God, if you need anything from my page I beg you please just buy I am begging you. Even if you don’t need it, if it is something you can give out, buy. You can pay any amount you want to pay. I just want to put an end to the business; I am not doing again and I have so much stock I cannot go and give everything out and I am choked, I don’t want to go and destroy them.”

Datti Baba-Ahmed close to tears over his father and family members being insulted (Video)

Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Datti Baba-Ahmed got quite emotional while speaking at a town hall meeting organized by Channels Television last night, over the insults political opponents have hurled at his family, particularly his late father.

Datti revealed that he would have been “a lot happier” if his critics had stopped at him alone. According to him, the insults have been hurled at him and his family members because he has done a lot to combat false narratives about him and the party’s standard bearer, Peter Obi.
He said;
“When I joined the ticket, I impeached certain lies against him and I saw they were heading towards that. Particularly my good friend on the APC side, on the same level.
“When people think they have money, they have power, and the sitting authority is theirs, there’s no limit. Someone has to tap them on the shoulder. I did it and I pointed a finger. You do it again – do one, I’ll do three. You know I’m capable of doing it.

“They’ve stopped. However, me and my family have been paying a huge price for my attempts to rescue Nigeria. They sent all sorts of people after me.
“But the thing that I was able to sort [out] with the [opposing] presidential and vice presidential candidate, I ended up suffering on a much lesser level.
“Thirty-five years ago, at least, our dad of blessed memory passed away. No one ever insulted him until I joined elections for presidency. This is not fair. It doesn’t happen anywhere in the world.
“You don’t insult people’s parents or their families. It’s a huge price for anyone to pay.”

Baba-Ahmed then fought back tears before momentarily excusing himself to step out of the hall, presumably to regain his composure.
He soon after returned to his seat to carry on with discussions of his and his principal’s plans.

Davido in pain as he loses close friend, Tommy

Afrobeat star, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has been thrown into a state of mourning following the death of his bosom friend, Tommy.
The father of three who is shattered by this unfortunate development took to his Instagram story to share a video of him and his late friend, Tommy where he wished him a happy birthday a few years back.

Tommy’s death comes as a shock to many as he made a post on his Instagram page some hours ago before the disturbing news.
The cause of Tommy’s death remains unknown although some speculated that he drowned.

“My wife is close to giving birth, my tanker has burnt, I have no job, just hoping on God”

A man identified as Mr. Ejiro Otarigbo who risked his life to save more than 20,000 people has shared a bit of the incident while lamenting over the unfortunate occurrence.

Mr. Ejiro was on the news lately owing to a rare act of bravery he displayed by driving a burning tanker for over 20 minutes to a less populated or isolated area in a bid to see that no life was lost as a result of the incident. The incident occurred in Delta State.

Speaking to the media personality, Lucky Udu who interviewed him, Ejiro said it was his boy that drew his attention to the burning tanker, and upon noticing it through his side mirror, he told the boy to get down while he tried to look for a convenient place to drive into that wouldn’t cost lives or properties.
He averred that he did not want to be labeled as the individual who caused the death of a lot of people and that was why he took the ultimate risk.

Lamenting over how things turned out, the man who recently got married said that his wife is very close to giving birth, and due to the fact that his tanker got burnt, he’s currently jobless and is only looking and hoping on God for a means of survival.
