The controversial crossdresser, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju alias Bobrisky, reveals that he was deported from Dubai because of the unmatching appearance on his passport.

Speaking on Toke Makinwa‘s podcast, Bobrisky stated that he had worn a significant amount of makeup when he arrived at Immigration, causing the officers to question his identity. He explained that due to the Islamic laws in the country that prohibit cross-dressing, he was sent back to Nigeria upon his arrival at the Dubai airport. Despite having travelled to the United Arab Emirates on several occasions, he was deported on that particular day, which happened to be a Jumʿah day. But that one was their prayer, I think one of their special days. It happened to be on Friday, they go to the mosque. They are holy so extra on that day. When I got there, the camera did not accept my face. You know me na, I was on makeup, I want to brag first class, I want to talk ‘oh! guys, I’ve been to Dubai. Your mummy is in first class’. “So, I got to the Immigration where you are going to do everything. They saw my passport, they looked at my face. They said ‘face camera’. And I faced the camera. It rejected my face several times. They [Immigrantion officers] said ‘are you sure you’re the same person?’ And I said ‘yes’. The man looked at me, he said ‘Idris, you are a Muslim?’. I said ‘yes’. He looked at my passport. He was confused. “So, we went to one of their private offices. And they said ‘are you trans or..’ I said ‘ well, I used to be a guy’. And they said ‘oh! on a normal day if it is not Friday’ they would have just allowed me in. But because it was Friday, jumʿah day, they said ‘no, they can’t allow me in.”

Suspected internet fraudster, Olalekan Jacob Ponle, popularly known as Mr Woodberry, has reached a plea deal with the United States government, in which he agreed to surrender $8 million he gained from wire fraud, and his luxury cars and watches.

Woodberry was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud after being arrested in the United Arab Emirates in 2020 and extradited to the US. Prosecutors alleged that he deceived American companies into transferring millions of dollars through a business email compromise scheme. Ponle had initially pleaded not guilty to eight charges. However, he had a change of heart and submitted a guilty plea to the first count of the indictments, according to a plea declaration filed in the US District Court. The plea deal mandates him to repay the $8 million to the seven companies he defrauded.

“Defendant understands that by pleading guilty, he will subject to forfeiture to the United States all right, title, and interest that he has in any property constituting or derived from proceeds obtained, directly or indirectly, as a result of the offence,” read the document containing Ponle’s signed plea declaration. In addition, the court instructed Mr. Woodberry to renounce his ownership of the lavish cars and pricey wristwatches he purchased and stored in Dubai, UAE. The collection of luxurious vehicles set to be forfeited comprises a Rolls Royce Cullinan with a vehicle identification number of J9153, a Lamborghini Urus with plate number N4973, and a Mercedes-Benz G-class with registration number G68816. Furthermore, the authorities confiscated four Rolex watches, three Audemars Piguet watches, and one Patek Philippe watch from him. Also included among the seized items are three gold and diamond-studded earrings, as well as six gold neck chains.

A Nigerian lady identified as Golden Sarah on TikTok has revealed how she spent 15 years in Dubai paying her madam.
According to her, she went to Dubai 15 years ago to pay her ‘madam’ and finally she’s going home with nothing but good health.
