A young Nigerian man, Abraham Basif Omaye, has reportedly passed away just three days prior to his eagerly anticipated wedding. Abraham and his fiancee, Praise Enyojo Ahmodu, were eagerly anticipating their marriage, set to take place on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the CEFN English Church in Abejukolo village, Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State. The couple had planned to kick off the celebratory weekend with their engagement ceremony on Friday, December 22, at the bride’s residence in Abejukolo.

However, their joyous occasion has been overshadowed by the untimely death of the groom. The sudden news of Abraham’s demise shocked many, leading to an outpouring of grief from friends and family members who took to social media to convey their condolences. On Wednesday, December 20, heartfelt tributes flooded Facebook, with many struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss.

Theophilus Ugbede Baba, a friend of the deceased, took to Facebook to share his sorrow. He wrote; “Death of a young promising man hurt me to my core, but God knows it all. I never knew the day I came to see you in the hospital was our last meeting on Earth, brother. The funeral plans for late Brazilian football legend, Pele, have been released just after his family confirmed his demise on Thursday, December 29.

As football lovers around the world paid their respects to Pele on social media, Santos Futebol Clube released all the details on how fans can say goodbye to the football legend.
It was gathered that Pele had the final say on where his funeral would take place after his health deteriorated between November and December.

A public funeral ceremony will be held for Pele on January 2, after his body has been embalmed at Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo. It will then be taken to Vila Belmiro (Santos’ stadium). There will be gate access for members of the public and separate entrances for political officials and other prominent figures, along with members of the press.
His private burial will take place after a parade through the streets of Santos on January 3. Pele will be laid to rest at Memorial Necropole Ecumenica. This area will not be accessible to the public.
