Popular singer Davido has recently made waves online with a video in which he issues a stern warning to unknown individuals. The video, uploaded on Twitter, showcases Davido dressed in a military uniform, referred to as “general.”

In the video, Davido unequivocally states that anyone attempting to provoke him will face severe consequences. This warning comes in the midst of multiple allegations made against the singer by several women, who claim to have been impregnated by him.

Despite the weighty accusations, Davido appears unaffected and unperturbed. He continues to cater to his fans’ desires, as evidenced by his latest video where he sternly warns those seeking to provoke his anger. Embattled Afrobeats star, Seun Kuti is reportedly having a hard time in detention at the State Criminal, Investigations, and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, where he’s been crowned “General Overseer” after being remanded by a Yaba Chief Magistrate Court. Vanguard reported that after the remand order was given, Seun was then taken to the cell to join other suspected criminals. His first shocker was being ordered to keep standing by the leader of the inmates who has a hoarse, deep baritone voice.

Seeing that this attracted little or no attention from the police guards, the singer began negotiating with them. He reportedly called his wife to be N25,000 which he handed over to the inmates’ leader. After he handed over the money, the inmates accepted him and provided a space for him to sit down. The incident infuriated Seun Kuti who began a hunger strike and also rejected food brought by his wife. He began eating again after a day and a half.

The singer has now been reportedly crowned the General Overseer of the cell and a bible was handed over to him. The publication he leads the inmates in prayer sessions whenever the need arises after which they would all chorus: GO, GO. When a journalist visited Panti around 2:30 pm yesterday, May 19, Seun was seen clutching the Bible tightly with his left hand while climbing the stairs leading to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge, Waheed Ayilara. He was later led down the stairs, back into the cell.

Retired Lieutenant-General Donaldson Oladipo Oyeyinka Diya, who served as Chief of Staff in General Sani Abacha‘s military regime, passed away at the age of 78.

Diya, who also served as a military administrator of Ogun State and was a lawyer, died in the early hours of Sunday, March 26, 2023, according to a statement released by Barrister Prince Oyesinmilola Diya on behalf of the family. Born on April 3, 1944, Diya held various high-ranking military positions, including GOC of the 82 Division, before eventually becoming the Chief of General Staff (military Vice President) to Gen Sani Abacha. The older sister of the deceased, Gumsu Sani Abacha, announced the news of Abdullahi’s demise on her social media accounts on Saturday afternoon. Gumsu, who is married to Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni, mentioned that her brother passed away in his sleep but did not provide any further information regarding the cause of death. Abdullahi’s father, the late General Sani Abacha, was the Head of State of Nigeria from November 1993 to June 1998. In a now-viral video, the comic actor called on ”thunder with Gonorrhea” to strike anyone that fails to vote during the election.

Charles’ gesture comes a month after popular rapper, Folarin Falana a.k.a Falz; skit maker and social media celebrity, Debo Adedayo a.k.a Mr Macaroni; singer, Aituaje Iruobe a.k.a Waje, and a host of other entertainers thrilled youths at the second edition of the Youth Vote Count mega concert at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
The event was a collaboration between the Independent National Electoral Commission, the Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth and Advancement, and the European Union Support to Democratic Governance, aimed at sensitizing Nigerians on why they should participate in elections.
