“To Japa is good but at what cost?” – US-based Nigerian man laments

A Nigerian lawyer based in the US has taken to Twitter to express his regrets about the negative consequences of relocating to another country in search of better opportunities. @ike_obiora, as he is known on Twitter, revealed that his decision to move overseas has resulted in him missing out on three significant family occasions, including the funeral of his beloved grandmother who raised him and his two uncles.

Reflecting on the drawbacks of living abroad, he expressed concern that his children will be unable to develop a close bond with their cousins and extended family. He wrote: “Japa! Japa! Japa! At what cost? I was raised by my Grandma, she died 3yrs ago & I wasn’t there. “My Uncle died 2021, I wasn’t there. Another of my Uncle just died yesterday, and I won’t be there again. “I haven’t seen some of my nephews since their birth. At what cost again? ☹️ I don’t even want to start counting important events in the lives of friends and family that I have missed. “To japa is good, no doubt, but at what cost exactly? Families are separated for live only to reunite again at the burial of their parents, if all will be there. “I grew up bonding with my cousins at Grandma’s house. We will always be there for “Ụka Nne” celebration chanting “Nnem ife dị mma ka mụ ga-emere gị” song after overfeeding on ụkwa and Co. Christmas, New year and Easter celebrations are not left out too. “Now, everything is pointing towards me raising children who will never get to have that familial bonding & relationship with their cousins and other relations. Not because I want to, but because it is what it is. “The very thing that made us who we are, are eroded on daily basis. Nigeria really needs to work. “There’s no streaming farm, make good music”

Ace music executive, Don Jazzy replies rapper, Blaqbonez and other artists who assume there is such a thing as a streaming farm.

Blaqbonez had earlier taken to the microblogging platform, Twitter, where he alleged that artists who use streaming farms will soon be caught. He wrote: ”One day these platform will catch you streaming farm guys, and then eveyone would also know who the yahoo yahoo artists from the real ones. Continue” This is not the first time of conversations springing up around the use of streaming farm. However, in a recent video, Don Jazzy addressed Blaqbonez and others like him who think that people use streaming farms. According to Jazzy, if an artist is good enough and makes good music, he would not have to worry about why his music isn’t topping charts. The music producer advised him to make good music instead of complaining. He also said that he would have bought streaming farms for his artists who aren’t topping charts if it exists. Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has got tongues wagging after she took to her Instagram page to throw shades at an unknown person.

Sarah Martins, a very close friend of the second wife of actor Yul Edochie, Judy Austin has taken to her Instagram page to advise women to fearlessly snatch good men from their partners, especially if they are careless in handling their man. This comment from the actress has attracted backlash from social media users as many are of the opinion that Sarah Martins’s post is a shade directed at the first wife of Yul Edochie and grieving mother, May Edochie. Recall that May Edochie and Sarah Martins clashed online after the former sued the actress over some pictures she edited. Popular dancehall artist, Niniola has vowed never to be a good girl anymore after she was served ‘breakfast‘.

The ‘Maradona’ crooner took to her Instagram page to reveal this as she adds that being a good girl doesn’t pay. Niniola who who didn’t reveal the identity of the person that served her breakfast said that she’s hurt by it. Although it is not known whether she means her boyfriend had dumped her, as the term is a colloquial used to mean heartbreak. “Good Girl no dey pay sha… I Swear … Them just serve me better breakfast… E pain me sha.. Popular music producer, Soso Soberekon has made a revelation about the male characteristics of a good husband to women.

The socialite took to his Instagram page to make a revelation to women on how to identify the perfect men who would make good husbands. According to Soso Soberekon, when a lady finally meets a man she has been praying for, she should look at his manhood because that of a good man is never big. Popular TV personality, Toke Makinwa has averred that wealthy Nigerian men are not good at pleasing women in bed.

She said this in a recent podcast in which ex BBNaija housemate, Neo Akpofure appeared as a guest. Toke Makinwa stated that 80 percent of Nigerian men are not good at pleasing their women in bed, and the wealthier they are, the less good at sxx they are. Controversial singer, Portable Omololalomi, laments the scarcity of fuel, the new naira notes, and the economy of Nigeria while blaming Buhari.

This comes amidst the struggle faced by Nigerians since the redesign of the new naira notes and low circulation in the economy. In a video via Instagram, Portable called out the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, for throwing the citizen of the country in jeopardy. He lamented that fuel scarcity, hike in the price of food, and difficulty to get money made the country and her citizens sick and troubled.
