File Photo The young took to her Facebook page to share a piece of advice from her bitter experience while describing life in a polygamous home as “hell”. According to her, because of her bitter experience, she will never befriend any woman who is a second wife to any man. She disclosed how she was severely maltreated alongside her siblings by her second wife. She added that a polygamous home has no beauty and brings disunity. In her words; “POLYGAMOUS HOME IS WHAT I FEAR MOST. I grew up in a polygamy family where life was like a hell for me then I prayed that may I live never to have anything to do with a polygamist and never to be friends with a woman who is a second wife just because of my experience as a daughter of a first wife who was maltreated alongside her sons and daughters. There was no fair treatment in the family where I grew up I promised myself so many things than in which love of Christ has helped shaped away,” she narrated. “Come to think of it polygamy from the beginning has always not brought or added any beauty to the home if not pain and disunity.
Let’s see from the bible Abraham, Sarah, and Hagai are people of faith that we look up to but, they were not able to handle the pressure of polygamy.
Also, Jacob was privileged to get married to the daughter of the same father and same mother but, his family was a place of competition, quarrel, and jealousy when Leah will always feel left out by their husband’s love, giving out their slave girls to their husband to sleep with in other to see who have more children. “If not for God’s intervention his generation will have lost it when his sons almost kill Joseph who was to later be their savior in times of famine so many things related to a polygamy lifestyle that I don’t wish my worst enemy to be involved in it. “My advice to young men and women that are yet to marry do everything possible in your part to avoid the polygamy lifestyle.”

GistReel

Veteran Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya has opened up about being bullied for being ‘ugly’ while growing up. The actress shared her heartbreaking experience in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.

She mentioned that bullying broke her as a schoolgirl as she was always attacked verbally and physically by her schoolmates for her physical features even at age 16. In her words: “In my formative years, I was always getting bullied for one thing or the other. No no matter what school I was in, I always felt like there was always going to be something that I was going to get attacked for. “So, when I was younger, I was an ugly duckling. I wasn’t cute. I don’t care what my mom says. I was not a cute kid. I had crooked teeth and eczema. I just didn’t look good as far as I was concerned. And as far as people around me were concerned. “I used to get called ‘snakeskin, buck teeth, light bulb head, football legs’. Just different kinds of stuff and then I just blossomed. My skin cleared, I got braces, and I just kind of blossomed. “And I started to kind of feel beautiful for the first time in my life around 16. I think I probably was owning it a bit too much for some people in my school. I got bullied for that and it really broke me. “I was like ‘look, I can’t win’. When I was younger, I was getting bullied for being ugly and unattractive. “And now I finally feel like I’m beautiful and I’m trying to own it, that’s now the problem. I’m now getting bullied for that. So, I got ganged up on and ended up with a black eye, and a chipped tooth, on the same day.”

"It really hurts" - Lady narrates why her eyebrows stopped growing

A young lady has narrated a heartbreaking story after her eyebrows failed to grow back since 2017.
The lady recounted how she braided her eyebrows in 2017, which subsequently resulted in her facial baldness.

According to her, a lady had called her and requested to make her brows which she accepted as it was during a festive period.
However, years after making the brows, the eyebrows pulled off and have refused to grow back ever since.

She narrated:
“Let me tell you guys something about my eyebrows okay? Every time I want to tell this story it really hurts and I don’t know how to say it.
“There was this one faithful moment in 2017 I had eyebrows, it’s not that I didn’t have eyebrows. Then there was a whom in our compound who called me and said lemme make ur eyebrows for u.
“I said ok no problem since it’s Christmas let them make my eyebrows for me. When she was making my eyebrows I was holding a mirror then she said she is not used to making someone’s eyebrows when they are holding a mirror that I should put the mirror away so I decided to put the mirror away.
“Then after she was done when I came and looked at myself all the place was read and there was no eyebrows and it refuse to grow again until today.”
