Abba Kyari reportedly escapes death in prison after 190 inmates attacked him

The former Intelligence Response Team head, Abba kyari has allegedly escaped being lynched by inmates at the Kuje prison who reportedly accused kyari of not honouring their bribe-for-release deals when the former policeman was in active service.
Reports made by the Premium Times says there are plans on ground to move the ex Intelligence Response Team leader, Abba Kyari, from Kuje prison where he is, at the moment, being held, to the custody of the State Security Service (SSS).

The last attack on kyari had occured on May 4th by inmates who claimed that the ex Intelligence officer had taken money from them but still prosecuted them; there were about 190 inmates, most being sentences for druugggg related crimes.
Kyari was regarded as a “dodgy criminal” by one of PremiumTimes’ sources, a state investigator and intelligence official.
According to one of the convicts, Mr Kyari was “eliminating minor (druuuggg) dealers to clear the field for Afam Ukatu,” a reputed billionaire druuuuggg lord connected to Mr Kyari’s N3 billion Trammmaadol deal.

A Kuje prison source, accessing the testimonies of the irritated inmates stated that: ” Inmates claimed that upon arrest, Abba Kyari demanded bribes to k#ll the case, then still prosecuted them,”
Reports also claim that a source has stated that kyari had to pay a sum of N200,000 ‘in initial settlement fees’ and then ‘procured DSTV subscription for cells to buy loyalty and peace,’ of the inmates.
