“I invited Portable, Pasuma to church event to win souls” – Celestial cleric

Celestial cleric, Aderemi Dabiri opens up on the reason why he paid a substantial amount to invite the gifted rapper, Portable and Pasuma to perform at his church. Aderemi Dabiri, a senior prophet at Celestial Church of Christ, Lagos chapter had caused a stir on social media after inviting the musicians to his church’s Ankara/Praise Night program which is meant to be held on December 15, in a bid to attract new converts.

He revealed that he has always invited musicians to his church and that pattern of evangelism has proven to work every time, as he believes that their presence would attract converts. He said; “It is not our first time inviting guest artistes. We have been doing it without a problem and I can give you a series of instances. We cannot go where they sell palm wine or alcoholic drinks and ask them to accept Jesus Christ. If I don’t apply wisdom, they will hit a bottle on my head. That was why I thought of a way to bring them into the church. “I also noticed that there are some notorious boys who cause trouble in the community, disturbing the authorities and engaging in cultism. I wondered how we can draw their attention so that they would have a change of heart. “We have gone to places where they are and they ended up beating us. Most of the members of my church are new converts and it was through that pattern that I converted them. “We will tell Portable not to dye his hair and he should not sing vulgar songs but to sing gospel music. We will also caution him not to dress inappropriately or climb the speakers. We will also warn him not to allow his boys to smoke here. We have invited close to 30 military personnel to man the event.” Watch the video below:

Why Mr. Ibu’s adopted daughter and sons were invited by the Police

Emeka Chochoo, the former manager of Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has shed light on the reasons behind the recent police invitation of Mr Ibu’s adopted daughter, Jasmine Chioma Okafor, and his two sons, Daniel and Val. The trio was reportedly invited for questioning regarding the management of funds donated by well-meaning Nigerians for Mr Ibu’s medical treatment. Actress Doris Ogala first broke the news on Wednesday night, revealing that Jasmine and Mr Ibu’s sons were detained at Alagbon Police Station over allegations that Jasmine had transferred a substantial sum, estimated at N300 million, from the donation account to her personal account.

The funds were intended for Mr Ibu’s medical expenses, as the actor recently underwent surgery resulting in the amputation of one of his legs. The situation escalated when it was suggested that Mr Ibu’s wife, Stella Maris Okafor, instigated the police involvement. Stella Maris allegedly demanded transparency and accountability regarding the donated funds and accused Jasmine of diverting the money for personal use. It was further claimed that Stella Maris intended to use the funds to purchase a new house. “Mr. Ibu’s wife alleged that Jasmine moved N300 million out of the account. Ibu’s wife allegedly wanted them to buy her a new house from the money contributed so far for Ibu’s treatments. That’s why she arrested Jasmine,”Doris Ogala said. In response to the unfolding events, Emeka Chochoo clarified that the police invitation was not tantamount to an arrest and emphasized that the police had summoned Jasmine, Daniel, and Val to inquire about Mr Ibu’s account. Val, however, was reportedly excluded from the situation as he had recently returned to the country and was unaware of the ongoing developments. “Yes, they were all invited by the police. I won’t call it arrest; the police invited them over Mr Ibu’s account. However, Val is left out as he knows nothing about what’s been happening. He just returned to the country,” Emeka Chochoo told punch. “I have not been able to reach any of them,” the ex-manager added. The controversy surrounding the management of the donated funds took an unexpected turn, considering that Mr Ibu’s wife and adopted daughter had previously joined forces to appeal for financial support from Nigerians. The plea came after Mr Ibu underwent surgery, and the actor’s health challenges prompted an outpouring of generosity from well-wishers.

Widely celebrated crooner, David Adeleke, better known as Davido was present at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards 2022 held in Rabat, Morocco on July 21st and subsequently took shots with the winners.
Sadio Mane of Senegal won the Best African Player of the Year for the male category while Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala won the Best African Player of The Year for the women making it the fifth time she’s clinching the prestigious award.
A clip however captures the moment Davido was invited on stage at the award night.
OBO joined Emmanuel Adebayo to present the CAF men’s young player of the year award to Pape Matar Sarr.

A young man identified as Prince Obua has revealed what he did after his female friend invited three of her friends to their date.
As soon as he realised what was happening, he ditched the date and stayed home to prepare stew.

According to him, he had no idea that the lady was coming with her friends.

#BBNReunion: Why I didn’t attend Liquorose’s birthday despite being invited

Ex-housemate, Emmanuel Umoh has revealed why he didn’t attend Liquorose’s birthday party despite being invited by her.
He disclosed this during the Thursday, June 9th edition of the Big Brother Naija Reunion show. According to him, he chose not to attend because it will look awkward coming to her birthday just to stare at her and leave owing to the fact that their relationship had already crashed.

Emmanuel said that when he personally invited Liquorose for his salon launch, she didn’t reply to his messages but after he dropped it on the group, she was among those who penned congratulatory messages for him.
According to him, this attitude displayed by Liquorose wasn’t acceptable to him because he felt that she only wanted to paint a picture that all is well whereas, in a real sense, it wasn’t.
Speaking on his relationship with Saskay, Emmanuel opened up to have hung out with her but claimed that he didn’t know Liquorose would pick offense in that.

He revealed that Liquorose called and confronted him for going out on a date with Saskay even though he didn’t see their link-up as a date.
