It is the police who, rather than taking this simple and straightforward step, have decided to create a circus and make a ‘national emergency’ of the matter. “Now that Mr Kuti has been put in manacles and taken on parade from one police station to another and from one location to the other across Lagos State since Monday, May 15, when exactly is he going to be charged for, as you put it in your statement, ‘attacking and slapping a police officer in uniform?’ “That should not be too much for a suspect to expect. I do hope that Lough as a lawyer and indeed a Senior Advocate of Nigeria counselling the police on this matter will obey the order of the magistrate’s court to send the case file to the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions for legal evaluation and possible charge and prosecution before a court of law.”

This comes following a nationwide apology from President Muhammadu Buhari regarding anyone whose 8-year administration caused pain. The IPOB lawyer called upon the president to demonstrate the sincerity of his apology to Nigerians by releasing his client from custody. In his response, Ejimakor, the lawyer for Kanu, stated that Buhari’s approach to “self-determination” resulted in extrajudicial killings, detentions, torture, and a notorious extraordinary rendition.

“Dear @MBuhari: Your policy on self determination led to extrajudicial killings, detentions, torture & an infamous extraordinary rendition. Prove that your apology is genuine by freeing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu & all detained on account of self determination. It’s your legacy!” Ejimakor on his Twitter handle said. Anti-Tinubu man, Mr Obiajulu Uja, who was booted out of an aircraft by security personnel at Abuja Airport on Friday has been identified as mentally ill.

Anti-Tinubu flight passenger is mentally ill — Lawyer clarifies

His lawyer, Barr. Ejike Ugwu stated that Obiajulu is mentally ill and was earlier chased out of a hotel in Abuja before booking a flight to Lagos from three airlines. According to Ugwu, despite his condition, the police have yet to offer medical assistance when he visited the suspect at the Airport Police Division. “Obiajulu is not in the right state of mind; before he boarded the flight, he was chased away from a hotel in Abuja because of his mental state. “He even booked three different flights for the Lagos trip. He booked Aero, Dana and Ibom Air. He had the three tickets for the same trip. So, there is no doubt that he is mentally challenged,” Ugwu said. The lawyer stated that every effort made to make the police see reasons to allow the anti-Tinubu suspect access to medical care had proved abortive. “As I speak to you, both the IPO handling the case and the DPO of the Police Division are nowhere to be found. And the suspect’s legs are all swollen now because of the several beatings he received at the Airport. He is critically sick right now.

In a recent interview with The Punch, Prince Bobo revealed that despite being in a lower class than Prince at the British International School they both attended, Davido’s music constantly disturbed him. Davido’s lawyer acknowledged the singer’s exceptional talent in music, describing him as a prodigy who was known to be a handful in school. However, he wished at the time that Davido would prioritize his studies over music and other interests. Years passed by and at a point, he had already become famous and requested that Prince serves as his business manager and lawyer.

Davido's lawyer shares mind blowing childhood experience with singer

Davido’s Lawyer on Childhood Experience “David and I go back many years. We attended BIS together. He was one of my school sons back in the day. He was a terror then, and he is a terror now. There was a two or three year gap between us. At that time, most seniors did not relate with their juniors, but I had my favourites. Though we did not have much in common, we bonded in a weird way. Whenever school was on break, we used to keep in touch through MSN messenger. Birth of Davido’s Singing Career Once in a while, I would login to the messenger service and receive messages from one annoying junior student (David Adeleke ) saying, “Hey big bro, I have started singing, and there is this cool song I want you to listen to.” As cool as I was back then, I did not need to be speaking to any junior, but something in me was just never rude to him. I was always warm and receptive; and I would tell him to send the song. I recall that some of the melodies back then were not bad. As far as I’m concerned, David has always been a genius; but, I thought he was better off facing his books. Another time, he sent me a message, saying he had started taking vocal lessons. Till date, I have a lot of old and unreleased songs from him from back in the day when we were teenagers. Prince Bobo Ajudua Becoming Davido’s Lawyer When I left BIS and moved to Cambridge, we kept in touch and have been good friends. He always respected me as a senior that he could trust, and I always had a fondness for him. Some years down the line, he had started doing music and was making waves. On my part, I went to the university to study. After I graduated and moved back to Nigeria, he popped out again from the woodwork, and said he wanted me to be his lawyer. At that time, nobody was trying to be an entertainment lawyer. Lawyers were trying to go to court, get the big briefs, work for big companies, and defend successful people. When I moved back to Nigeria, we met and continued our relationship. The next thing I knew was that I became his personal lawyer and that of his family. After a while, he got me to come onboard fully as part of his management team. Shocking Confession on Co-Managing Davido A lot of people do not know that Davido is co-managed by me and Asa Asika. This is, in fact, the first time I will be saying this publicly. The structure is a seamless one. Asa is his entertainment manager, while I am his legal and business manager. We spread the work between ourselves. To sum up our relationship, I am David’s friend, brother, lawyer and manager. Our lives are intertwined in many ways. In as much as I am older than him, sometimes, he gives some quality advice that I obviously won’t be sharing with you. I can assure you that my relationship with him is one I will not trade for anything. He has actually turned out to be one of my best friends ever.”

Why I Walked Out of my Marriage “Okay let me tell you why it looks all shitty, I left my marriage clueless about the next thing to do but knew I had to run for my life yet I has no family support. I was not lucky to come from a stable family background, my ex saw this and capitalised on it. “The marriage was 4 years old as at when it officially ended but it was dead from the beginning. I know the judginas will ask if I didn’t see the red flag…well story for another day but well the deed has been done and now I have two kids who had no fault. “My entire desire was to protect my kids. I mean they know nothing about the folly and stupidity of the parents that brought them to this world. I saved up and got my own apartment. I remember crying so much the first night I moved into my new home. I was scared. Her Journey After Exiting the Marriage “I had never gone on this kind of journey before and i don’t know how to walk this path. I was totally confused and clueless. I was more afraid for my kids, scared they would suffer which i do not want, what if they fall sick and I can’t take care of them? So many what ifs. “All these was in 2017….this is 2023 and yes it has not been a smooth journey…my life has taken a pause because I was not opportune to have a family support and I had to learn, unlearn and relearn on my own. My career has suffered so much. Yes. “My wants, desires has all been pushed to the base because I can’t afford all at once so my kids come first..it has not been an easy ride doing this alone, no single financial support from the man who bore them even though he has 100% access to these kids. “I look back today and ask myself if it is all worth it and Yes I am happy I made that decision. I am proud of the pains, the tears, the laughter. I am proud for holding myself strong despite the stigma and backlash that comes with being a single mom. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ME.” This is what i looked like when i walked out of my marriage in 2017 with two toddlers. I just clocked 30, i was mentally, emotionally and financially drained. The Global Terrorism Index had recently placed IPOB as the 10th deadliest terror group worldwide in 2022, attributing 57 deaths to the group from 40 attacks with 16 injured persons. Ejimakor dismissed the claim by the Global Terror Index, stating that it is untrue. He clarified that IPOB was only included in the index report because the Nigerian government had labelled it as a terrorist group. In a tweet, Ejimakor emphasized that a terrorist group like IPOB cannot be registered. “It’s FALSE that IPOB is now ranked the 10th deadliest terrorist group in the world by the Global Terror Index. IPOB was only mentioned as having been declared a terrorist group in Nigeria. IPOB is registered. Terrorist groups can’t be registered. If you try, you will be arrested,” he wrote.
