Popular rapper, Naira Marley has stirred reactions online as he yanks off Mohbad’s photo from his Instagram page after being granted bail. It would be recalled that Mohbad died on the 12th of September and controversies trailing the demise drew Naira Marley as as suspect.

It was reported that the Marlian Music executive was granted bail after spending weeks in detention. Following his return to social media, Naira Marley has removed Mohbad’s photo from his Instagram page, as well as his name from his account. Detaining Naira Marley is a violation of human rights, Shubomi cries

The sister of musician, Naira Marley, Shubomi has come out to cry over his detention upon reaching Nigeria, calling it a violation of his human right. Recall that earlier this month, the police ordered Naira Marley and Sam Larry to be remanded in custody pending investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death. Many Nigerians are actively seeking justice for the late Mohbad, especially after the singer died in very strange circumstances and some evidence indicted his former boss, Naira Marley for bullying him repeatedly. This situation seems to aggravate the sister to the musician who cried out on her Instagram story, claiming his detention was done in order to soothe the public. Shubomi, Naira Marley’s sister. In her words; “Keeping someone who willingly traveled back to help in detention for nearly 30 days, with no charge, no evidence, no sufficient witness is a violation of his human rights. In a Lagos interview with Cool FM Nigeria, the artist talked about how his father influenced the development of his Yoruba language when he was a young child. He said, “What made it easy for me (to blend with Nigerian street music) is that I grew up in South-East London, Peckham to be precise. That is like small Lagos, you know what I mean? “And all my life in England, my dad banned speaking English in the house. So, we had to speak Yoruba and all these Yoruba stuff. I still listen to Fuji. We eat African foods. Even though I’m in England, it was like I’m still in Nigeria. Yeah, it was easy for me.
