Famous BBNaija star, Ozoemena Chukwu better known simply as Ozo has revealed that the year he participated in the BBNaija Lockdown edition has been his greatest blessing. The light-skinned socialite stated that it gave him a chance to demonstrate his extensive expertise in games and competitions.

He said; “The biggest blessing I have was the year I was on the show. There was a betting company that was one of the major sponsors (of the show then). Every Friday, there were sports trivia games, and that gave me a great opportunity to show I had so much knowledge and interest in sports. There were questions ranging from football, basketball, tennis, golf, Formula One, boxing, and Ultimate Fighting Championship. My fellow housemates then used to clamour for me to be on their teams. That was big for me.” On how he handles overzealous female fans, the reality star said; “ I could liken this to when people talk about fame or life in general, when they say, ‘Never let things get in your head’. It is not something I lay so much emphasis on when it comes to my life. I have always wanted to show a positive example to people who want to be like me. When it comes to that part of my life, I don’t put so much emphasis on it.” When asked if he would be interested in working in entertainment, Ozo responded that he was happy in the sports world because the two are related. He also disclosed that he is a minority shareholder in a business that intends to produce a game show for football fans. The sports analyst said: “Sports and entertainment are intertwined. I am never bored, and that is because there is always a sports event for me to watch. There is always a form of entertainment for what I do. For example, I am (an analyst) on a football show where we talk about things that happen around the English premier league. There is a company where I am a minority owner, and we are about to start our own show and quiz people on different football matters. Also, we give people the best idea of how they should set up their fantasy teams.”

A lady has lambasted other women who participate in the famous Surround Sound challenge which is viral on Tiktok. The challenge which is very popular on Tiktok now, involves taping your phone to the ceiling while dancing in a provocative manner and it is mostly done by women on the App. Recently, a student of Madonna University was allegedly expelled for participating in the viral trend. The lady took to social media to address women who chose to participate in the Surround Sound trend, calling it an exhibition of fatherless behavior. In her words; “The reason why you go carry phone put for up dey twerk, dey shake bumbum is because you’re not loved, my sister.
You’re not loved, you’re seeking male validation on the internet.
Apparently, your fathers, your brothers or your husband, the men in your life don’t love you because I don’t see the reason why you’ll put phone on the ceiling and start shaking bumbum for male validation.
Because if they love you, if they love you true true and well well, you no go come internet dey shake bumbum.
Please parents love your children.
Fathers, love your girls so that they don’t come tomorrow on the internet and start displaying some level of self-hate, lack of self-confidence, fatherlessness behavior. The Nigerian political sphere has witnessed recently an increasing participation of entertainers in politics, with the likes of Funke Akindele, Tonto Dikeh and Caroline Danjuma taking the bold step.

Some Nigerians have however criticized their move to dabble in politics as they claim that entertainers should have nothing to do with politics.

Alleged condition of accommodation for athletes participating in 2022 NUGA games

Netizens raise an alarm over the alleged condition of hostels reserved for athletes competing in the 2022 Nigerian University Games Association, NUGA.

NUGA is Nigerian University Games Association that has over 136 tertiary institutions in the country participating; this year’s hosted by the University of Lagos, UNILAG.
According to an outcry by a Twitter user, @UncleChike_, the state of accommodation put in place for athletes in UNILAG is not encouraging.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform to share photos of bunk beds supposedly with bug-ridden mattresses, the user lamented the depressing condition after a long day of sporting activities.
“This is where athletes participating at the NUGA games will sleep after a hard day competing,” he wrote.
