Famous Nigerian hip-hop artist Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, opens up on why he abstains from drinking alcohol and smoking. The singer who was once referred to as an upcoming artiste emphasizes his stance on the habit of taking alcohol and consuming any form of smoke.

In a post via the microblogging platform, X, he mentioned that he refrains from these vices because he believes they are associated with “bad people.” Blaqbonez clarified that, unlike many of his peers, he chose not to drink or smoke, firmly sticking to his perspective on those who partake in such activities. In his words, “I think drinking and smoking [are] for bad people. I’m always going to be firm on my stand, unlike most artists, no drinking or smoking.”

Popular actor, Alesh Sanni laments as he calls out a homeless young man he accommodated for five months only for him to repay by stealing millions of naira and items of jewelry from him. The actor took to his Instagram page to make the public outcry, as he bemoaned the heartlessness of some people.

Renowned transgender, Daniel Anthony Nsikan a.k.a Jay Boogie reveals how he was bullied and hoped for death following complications from his botched surgery. During a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Jay Boogie revealed that he became the target of death threats on social media amidst his health issues.

He added that it all started after some friends took photos of him in his hospital bed and falsely claimed that he urgently needed public support for a kidney transplant. Jay Boogie disclosed that his health, however, deteriorated to the extent that he required daily dialysis to facilitate the elimination of urine. In his words; “People that I thought were my friends came into the hospital and took pictures of me and sent to the bloggers. It was becoming so annoying that the bullying online was even too much. I was receiving death threats. People will come to my DM and be like, ‘You never still die?’ So, I decided to stay off the media for a while. “I wasn’t the one that sent out my pictures on social media. It was my friends. I’m a discreet person. I don’t like flaunting things. I love living a low-key life. Because nobody cares about you. You should care about yourself. “So, I mean, with the dramas going online, people bullying me saying, ‘How man go go do nyansh.’ Can you even imagine the mentality? Do you even see me as a man? This is something I want for myself. And I’m sure that if I were to be any of their siblings they won’t tell me that they won’t feel the pains I’m going through. “I started going to dialysis every day just so I can pass out urine. My legs were swollen. The urine was very high. At that point, I was measuring my intake of water. Before I go for dialysis they will check my weight and I will be weighing 100 and something. Every day, I would be going for dialysis, they will be taking out my blood and all that. It was hurting that I sat down and said, ‘God abeg, I am just tired. I just want to go [die]. A young lady has made a public appeal to plus-sized individuals, begging them to stop oppressing her and start paying for two spaces while using public transport. She posted the video on her Instagram, @_constancecee, where she pleaded with them. According to her, she had just gotten down from a public transport where she sat in between two plus-sized people. The lady lamented how much they pressed her throughout the journey which was why she made the video, soliciting that they pay for two seats rather than one because of their size.
