The picture shows him with his arms outstretched in front of a Toyota Prado SUV, while Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, was seen standing through the sunroof of the vehicle and smiling at the teenager. Alami revealed in an interview that he stood in front of Peter Obi’s convoy due to his affection for the candidate.

Alami, a resident of Lagos who hails from Ibadan, stated that he admires Obi for his helpfulness and has a strong fondness for him. He also expressed that if Obi were to win the election, he would pray for his success. The presidential campaign of Peter Obi was rounded up in the rally held at the Tafawa Balewa Square on Lagos Island on Saturday, after travelling to each of the 36 states in the federation. The rally was attended by Obi’s running mate, Datti Baba-Amed, as well as the leader of the Yoruba socio-political organization Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, among others.

Datti was fiery as he spoke to the crowd of supporters who gathered at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) on Lagos Island. He exclaimed, “PDAPC dey craze” while addressing the enthusiastic crowd. The rally was attended by important figures such as the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, National Chairman Julius Abure, the Director General of the Obi/Datti campaign council, Prof Akin Osuntokun, Afenifere leader Pa Ayo Adebanjo, and others. Datti, known for his calm demeanour, was fueled by the energy of the crowd as he used a phrase from one of Nigeria’s musical legends, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, in pidgin English to emphasize his points.

“Fela talk say dem dash us democracy, dem teach us dem go, no be so?,” Datti asked the crowd of supporters. He went on to say that being a democratic nation does not mean that citizens in Nigeria are unaware of their rights. Datti’s words: “The fact say we get democracy no mean say we craze. Whoever thinks say we craze, na hin craze. PDAPC na dem craze. “Anybody wey come stand in front of you talk say dey improve the security of Nigeria, wetin happen to that person, tell dem dey craze….” The Vice Presidential candidate emphasized their plan, to guide Nigeria towards greatness and pointed out that the Labour Party has brought the nation together, ending previous conflicts among the population. Datti’s words: “Only Obi and my humble self are ready to lead Nigeria to greatness. Fellow Nigerians, Nigeria is that great country on the surface of the earth that bad governance has denied progress and we have to change it. ‘Labour Party is that party that has stopped Nigerians from fighting themselves and has united Nigerians.”

Viral reports on Twitter allege that a faulty bus was planted on Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos to cause traffic and supposedly discourage residents from turning out en mass for rally.

The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi is expected to make an appearance in the metropolitan area for his campaign. However, prior to the time, various Twitter users have taken to the micro blogging platform to report an incident which they have alleged to be a deliberate attempt to cause traffic. One tweep raised alarm saying; “They made it look like the bus was faulty and planted it overnight to cause traffic at 3MB to discourage people from attending the LP rally.. Lastma officials there said they were warned not to touch it..” Another tweep wrote: “This is fking hilarious 😂…. At the foot of third mainland bridge they’ve blocked half of the exit and there are agbero boys sitting close to the bus with bottles of beer. Guess what? Festus Keyamo, a senior lawyer and spokesman for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council has been called out for circulating photos from a festival in the U.S state of Chicago,and passing it as supporters who trooped out for Bola Tinubu’s campaign rally in Sokoto on Thursday, February 9.

Keyamo, who is also Nigeria’s Minister of Labour, had shared the photos with the caption “More pictures from the mother of all rallies in Sokoto! The signs are all there for all to see! But they are playing! Make dem dey play!! In about a fortnight, the jungle will mature!!”

However, a quick Google reverse image search revealed that the photos were from a music festival which took place in Chicago in 2021. The photos went viral at the time for a massive violation of the COVID-19 protocols as many people gathered without protective measures at the peak of the pandemic. Hajia Aisha Maina attended the Presidential rally of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The rally took place in Sokoto state on Tuesday, January 31. Unfortunately, she was caught in a stampede that occurred at the exit gate of Giginya Stadium, the venue of the rally. A staff at the Ministry of Information said; “A motorcyclist fell down from his bike at the exit way of the stadium and that caused a serious stampede, with people falling upon one another. She was one of the victims.” Chairman of Forum of Special Advisers, Ibrahim Magaji Gusau, who confirmed Maina’s death, said she was rushed to the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital. “She died few minutes after her admission. Even during the rally, we were together, not knowing that would be our last meeting.”

Maina was the former chairperson of the National Woman Journalists Association of Nigeria (NAWOJ), Sokoto state chapter. She was also the former Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Tambuwal on New Media. She was later moved to Female Education Board. Aisha is survived by three children and aged parents.

Cranky photos of fast-rising singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, campaigning for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday, have stirred many reactions online.
The now viral photos show the moment the Zazuu crooner stripped half-naked with a huge broom while on top of an automobile that was thronged with people who trailed him.

Recall that in several video snippets posted on the singer’s Instagram account a few days ago, Portable was seen with Governor Adegboyega Oyetola as he cajoled his fans to vote for APC in the forthcoming governorship election.
The Osun governorship election is scheduled to hold on July 16, 2022.
In another video snippet, the singer was seen flaunting wads of cash in a paper bag which had the insignia of the Osun State Government.
Though supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have slammed the singer for campaigning for the APC, some of his fans saw nothing wrong with his move.

Sharing observations regarding the singer’s photos, @Judith Michael wrote: “I thought it was a mad person until I saw the flag. Even the statue cover body, person wey hol flag cover body na only you dey show us your pants… this only portrays madness.”
