Controversial influencer Daniel Regha has taken a swipe at Ayra Starr over her song “Sability”, while also claiming that she and Tems are up and coming artistes. Regha made the claim during a podcast session hosted by Big Brother Naija star, Doyin. During the interview, the influencer stated that it is either an artiste is either an “up and coming or goated”.

He further claimed that the two female artistes don’t have songs that can outlive 10 years and are easily forgettable when compared to some singers like Tiwa Savage, Omawumi, Waje, and Nicki Minaj. According to Regha, Tems is still being remembered for the high-profile international events he attends, while all Ayra Starr has is her miniskirts and her recycled songs including “Sability” which he described as the “most useless song” released.

Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr has recounted how her mathematics teacher in secondary school predicted that her record label, Mavin would sign her. The singer whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, revealed this while speaking during the recent edition of “Afrobeats Intelligence” with Joey Akan. Ayra Starr revealed that her mathematics teacher believed in her talent and even predicted that Mavin would sign her one day.

According to her, she was only 14 years old at the time, and because he believed in her, she was motivated to join the choir and improve her singing. The teacher was also the one who encouraged her to share her videos online for people to see. Just as he predicted, she was signed to Don Jazzy’s record label, Mavin years later. In her words; “I have a teacher that literally inspired me. He said I was going to be signed to Mavin. It’s crazy. I was 14 then, and he said, ‘Mavin is going to sign you. Start making videos.’ He would just inspire me. He was even Muslim, but he would tell me to go to church and join the choir. He was my math teacher.”

She believes that only her mother, pastor, and Jesus have the authority to advise her on what she should wear. She expressed her views by saying: “You are not my pastor, you are not Jesus, you are not my mother, so keep it to yourself. I don’t wanna know. Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya, has revealed his desire to be best friends with two of his colleagues. The musician engaged in a poll where he had to choose between two options.

In a poll, the musician was confronted with a list of options, and he was asked to select between Ayra Starr and Tems. However, he encountered difficulty in making a decision, and after much deliberation, he ultimately decided to choose both artists. At the beginning of the poll, Iyanya was presented with a choice between a woman’s backside and front, and without hesitation, he opted for the latter option.

Later on, when asked to pick between Tems and Ayra Starr and determine which one he would like to be his best friend, Iyanya responded by saying that he would like to have both of them as his friends. The ‘Rush’ crooner made this known while speaking in a recent interview with Saturday Beats. She remarked on how grateful she is for her senior female colleagues who have paved the way for budding female singer like herself, however, female and male performers are not treated equally. Ayra Starr said: “I am grateful to the women who came before me, who paved the way. Because of them, I am not dealing with so much. However, there is still that issue of female artistes being scrutinised more than their male colleagues. Female artistes are not held to the same standards as the males.” She also spoke on her recently released hit single, “Sability” which has been getting glowing reviews from appreciative fans.

“Of course, I am excited. I wanted people to feel good and be happy while listening to the song. I am happy it’s doing that and even more. I wanted to put out a song that would make some people remember the times in their lives when they literally had no worries; and, that was how I arrived at ‘Sability’,” she said. Reacting to those who do not fancy the song, Ayra Starr urged them to listen to the song with an open mind: “They really just have to take the time to listen to the song well. It’s a happy song and I hope they are happy when they listen to it.” She added: “I am never under pressure to release hit songs. I just want to make songs that make sense to me and my fans.”

Nigerian singer, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has reacted to a viral TikTok video which mimicked her epic fall on stage at the Afrochella concert.
Recall that, the Mavin signee had a painful fall at the Afrochella concert in Ghana while performing on stage.

A video of the moment had trended online which provoked reactions from fans and netizens.
After the event, the singer called out the show organizers, advising them to clean up their stage after each performance while also describing the incident as painful and unnecessary.

A TikTok user recreated the video of the epic fall, mimicking Ayra Starr.
