The lady in question ordered the latecomer to fetch water almost a hundred meters away using a spoon. The goal was to fill up a bucket that is almost ten litres in size. She, however, stood with the apprentice as she goes back and forth to fetch water with the spoon. Sharing the video, she wrote, “How I punished one of my students for coming late to work. A Nigerian student has been assaulted after he reportedly refused to help his colleagues during an examination at a school in Imo State. Online reports alleged that the unnamed student had written an exam with his colleagues and had covered his work from them. After the exams they came for him and began maltreating him for what they deemed to be unfair treatment to them. A video which has gone viral shows the student being maltreated by his fellows outside the building. NDLEA arrests Europe-bound 19-year-old student with drugs NDLEA arrests a 19-year-old student identified as Benjamin Nnamani Daberechi for the possession of illegal drugs, Methamphetamine. In a statement posted on the Facebook page of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy, the drugs were cleverly concealed within a sack of crayfish.

The statement partly read, “The teenage suspect was intercepted on Wednesday 12th July, during an outward clearance of passengers on Turkish Airlines flight TK 0624. “While being interviewed by operatives, Daberechi claimed he was a student on his way to Cyprus for studies, but upon a thorough search of his luggage, he was found possessing 7.2kg of whitish substance neatly concealed inside a sack of crayfish. A field test of the substance however proved it is Methamphetamine.”

A 17-year-old female student of Osun State University, Victory Ehiremen, and her boyfriend, Ayobami Ariyo, were paraded for allegedly luring a man from Lagos to Osun through social media and robbing him of N1.5m. According to the Commissioner of Police, Kehinde Longe, the incident unfolded when Victory met the complainant on a social media platform a few days before the robbery. After exchanging messages, she invited him to her location in Ikire. However, upon arrival, Victory led the victim to her boyfriend’s house, where he was attacked by a group of individuals who subsequently transferred N1.5 million from his bank account. The swift response of the police to the case led to the arrest of Ayobami Ariyo from his hideout. Further investigation led to the apprehension of two other accomplices. The police are actively pursuing the arrest of other individuals involved in the crime. During questioning by journalists, Victory claimed that she was unaware of her boyfriend’s intention to forcefully obtain money from the victim. She expressed her distress when Ayobami and his friend began assaulting the complainant after barging into the room where she was with him. Additionally, she revealed that her boyfriend, who she accused of being involved in internet fraud, gifted her N40,000 two days after the incident.
