During an interview with NBC News, Azmeh stated, “I am thinking of Suleman, who is 19, in there, just perhaps gasping for breath… It’s been crippling, to be honest.” Since Sunday, Suleman and the other victims have been unaccounted for, and experts indicate that the likelihood of recovering their bodies is minimal.

For Yusuf, who set a record at LASU that had stood for 40 years, the governor announced personal donations of N5 million and another N5 million from the Lagos State government. The student’s brilliant accomplishment was also recognized by the Oniba of the Iba Kingdom in Lagos, Oba Sulaimon Adeshina Raji, granted her N2 million and pledged to fully finance her through law school.

Student caught after reportedly stealing lecturer’s bag, which contained valuables, during exam and selling it for N10K. It was gathered that the incident had occured at University of Jos while the department was holding an examination.

According to a source, the students had completed their exams when the noticed that their lecturer’s bag was missing. The bag was reported to contain 18,000 naira, a laptop and several important credentials. It was learned that all the students were called back after the bag went missing, whereupon, one student, who was absent, was suspected. The source revealed that the suspected was later caught, and he confessed to stealing the bag and selling it for 10,000 naira. Student meets teacher 15-years after school

A photo of a young man who used to be a student and his teacher from his former school has gone viral causing a stir on social media. The two photos shared in a photo slide have disclosed that the teacher taught the student as far back as 2008. The teacher was seen standing close to her student in the first picture with her hands wrapped around the student. In the new photo which dates from 2023, the student of the teacher was seen all grown and taller than his teacher. They further alleged that the university attempted to cover up the incident and neglected their duty to communicate the tragic news in a timely manner. The concerned family expressed their frustration over the lack of transparency and demanded an explanation from Abuad University regarding the circumstances surrounding Ayominde Oluwagbowunmi Oduntan’s death. They sought clarity on the cause of death and expressed disappointment that the university had postponed the postmortem examination multiple times, causing further distress to the grieving family. Court sentences hotel owner, Ramon Adedoyin to death by hanging over murder of OAU student

In a significant development, Dr Ramon Adedoyin, a prominent hotel owner, has been found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging for the murder of Timothy Adegoke, a former student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife. The incident occurred between November 5 and 7, 2021, at the Hilton Honours Hotel in Ile-Ife.

Chief Judge of Osun State and presiding Judge of the State High Court, Justice Adepele Ojo, delivered the judgment. The court, relying on circumstantial evidence, concluded that Adegoke was killed while being a guest at Adedoyin’s hotel.

A final year student of the University of Calabar, Francis Atabi, met a grim fate as he was fatally attacked by suspected carjackers at Mary Slessor roundabout on Friday, May 26, 2023. The 25-year-old student, who also worked part-time as a Bolt driver, fell victim to a shocking act of violence while on duty.

However, during the course of the journey, the suspects attempted to snatch his Toyota Corolla vehicle. Displaying immense bravery, the Education and Political Science student resisted the carjacking, which only served to enrage the assailants further. In a vicious attack, Atabi was repeatedly stabbed and a rope was tied around his neck. The situation quickly escalated as Atabi, in a struggle to defend himself, lost control of the vehicle and collided with a security personnel at the scene. Sadly, the security man also lost his life after being rushed to a hospital in Calabar. SP Irene Ugbo, the spokesperson for the State Police Command, confirmed the tragic incident and assured the public that an investigation is underway. In a statement released on Sunday, SP Ugbo expressed determination in bringing the perpetrators to justice. “We shall do everything possible to ensure the assailants are arrested. No stone will be left unturned in this matter. We are launching a manhunt, and we shall get them and bring them to book,” stated SP Ugbo. “This is a further wake-up call to Cross Riverians. The killers will be made to face the full wrath of the law when apprehended,” she added. See below;
