Woman reconsiders marriage with white boyfriend after racist word was used on her

Woman reconsiders marriage with white boyfriend after racist word was used on her

A seemingly healthy relationship between a black woman and her white boyfriend has been thrown into turmoil after a recent quarrel that involved the use of a racist slur. The couple, who have been dating for almost three years, now find themselves grappling with the aftermath of an emotional incident that has left the woman questioning the future of their relationship. The couple had previously enjoyed a healthy and loving relationship until a recent disagreement escalated dramatically. According to the woman, who wished to remain anonymous, the incident occurred when she accidentally dented her partner’s truck while attempting to maneuver out of a parking lot. In an unexpected turn of events, her partner reacted with an overt display of anger and frustration, directing a racial slur at her. Heartbroken and emotional, the woman shared her feelings about the hurtful incident. She confessed that prior to this altercation, she had believed she would readily accept a marriage proposal from her partner. However, in the wake of the racial slur, her feelings have shifted, leaving her uncertain about the future of their relationship. In her words; “Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 3 yrs.. our relationship has been very healthy up until this comment and I have always thought that I wouldn’t even hesitate to say yes if he asked me to marry him. We have arguments, but they’re never anything too serious. Last night he really blew up at me because I accidentally put a dent in his truck when pulling out of a parking lot and he ended up calling me the hard R (I’m a black female and he’s white) he has never said anything racist before and has apologized already, but I’m very hurt and I honestly can’t stop crying. He told me that school/work is stressing him out and that he took it out on me in that moment because the dent in the truck was just the cherry on top to everything shitty that’s been happening with him. I know that he is truthfully sorry.. he keeps on repeating it and is giving me an excessive amount of affection, but I don’t know if this is something I can just get over easily.. I love him so much, this really fxxking sxxks.”

Earlier today, Festus Keyamo petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS) to arrest the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his Vice, Datti Baba-Ahmed for alleged incitement. His petition has angered the former Education Minister, Oby Ezekwesili who in turn has taken to her Twitter page to describe the action of Festus Keyamo as “nonsense”. According to her, Festus is inciting DSS to arrest Peter Obi. She has urged DSS to advise themselves if no one advises them. In a tweet, she wrote; “I saw a ludicrous piece of nonsense by a Minister in the
@NigeriaGov of @NGRPresident @MBuhari, stoking the embers of destabilization of Nigeria by goading and inciting @OfficialDSSNG to arrest the @NgLabour Presidential Candidate and his VP. Is Nigeria a Comedy to you folks?” Let me tell @OfficialDSSNG @NigeriaGov @NGRPresident and the leaders of the ruling Party

“Davido’s “E Choke” slang is a negat!ve statement which physically & spiritually means suffocati¤n so anyone promoting or saying such words is only inviting chaos to his or her life; The fact majority hype it doesn’t make it right. The tongue is powerful, be mindful what u say,” he wrote.
