AMVCA called out for always snubbing Yul Edochie, Junior Pope, Destiny Etiko

The organizers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) have been called out for not recognizing some actors yearly, including Yul Edochie, Junior Pope, Destiny Etiko, and others. This comes following the ninth edition of the AMVCA event which was held between 18 and 20 May 2023 at Eko Hotels in Lagos.

Why?” the user wrote.

This was followed by a series of reactions, some of which justified the reasons while others corroborated the claims. The first child and only daughter of Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, Danielle Edochie removes her father’s name from her Instagram page amidst family saga. Yul Edochie and his second wife, Judy Austin have been in the news for a couple of days after they were seen in different videos on social media a few weeks after the first son of Yul was buried.

Although it has been rumored that May Edochie has been granted a divorce by a court and gotten sole ownership of their mansion and the custody of their children, none of the parties have come out to react to the news. However, the first daughter of Yul Edochie, Danielle got people talking when she changed her surname from Edochie to ‘Dubem’ on her Instagram page.

Backlashes have trailed a video of popular movie star, Yul Edochie and his second wife Judy Austin singing adorably less than two months after he lost his first son with first wife, May. The actor took to his social media page to share a beautiful husband-wife moment of them trying to take turns singing in a car.

Sharing the video on his page he hailed his wife as an ‘Ijele odogwu’. This, however, elicited derogatory remarks from netizens who reminded him that he had recently lost a son, and his first wife is still grieving.

A Nigerian lady who supported Yul Edochie‘s marriage to a second wife has cried out after her husband impregnated his side chick. According to the heartbroken wife, her husband saw her comment where she boldly defended Yul Edochie for taking Judy Austin as his second wife.
