Popular reality star, Vee Iye speaks on her experience in the dating pool while giving kudos to Nigerian men over their counterparts in the UK.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate made this known in a podcast show where she referenced the financial aspect of going on dates. According to Vee, Nigerian men are better at shouldering the finances of a woman when on a date, unlike UK men who go by the 50:50 method of splitting bills. She, however, clarified that it had nothing to do with UK men being stingy, rather, it is a thing of culture which is different from how it is done in Nigeria. Watch the video below …

Labour Party candidate, Ben Etanabene who won the House of Reps election for Sapele Federal Constituency, has been spotted in his fish farm.

A viral video of the Labour Party candidate at his fish farm has got social media users talking. Ben was spotted in shorts and a tank top barefooted in his fish pond, getting his hands dirty. He was busy scooping catfish from the pond, into an empty bowl. While being recorded, he stated that winning a seat in the House of Representatives does not mean he would not work. NOA affirms digital approach for 2023 census

The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) announced that the upcoming 2023 National Population and Housing Census will utilize digital technology to enhance its credibility and efficiency.

Dr Garba Abari made this known during his appearance on the News Agency of Nigeria Forum in Abuja on Sunday. Abari, who is also a member of the National Publicity and Advocacy Committee on Census, explained that this method of conducting the census is a departure from previous approaches in the country. Abari’s statement on digitizing 2023 cencus “This is one census that is going to be different from previous ones. To enhance the credibility of the exercise, this census is going to be digital. ‘’In the house listing and numbering, the National Population Commission has perfected the space and got the point much beyond what google has done in the mapping. ‘’In terms of specificity and the correctness of the capture of every house and hamlet in Nigeria, the NPC has gone far beyond what google has done. ‘’We may not say that we are absolutely 100 per cent correct, but 99 per cent of all houses, structures within the enclave of Nigeria’s territory have been captured digitally, far beyond what google can provide in terms of specificity.’’ ‘’Digitalisation will enhance the credibility because there is a common template for the exercise and that is all that will be sent to the cloud.” ‘’And in the process, you miss out the most important element of the programme, which is getting sufficient data for planning.”

PSG star, Lionel Messi, has been immortalized in his home country Argentina, as a training camp for the national football team has been renamed after him.

Head of the Argentine Football Association, Chiqui Tapia, made the announcement on Saturday, March 25. He tweeted; “We lived a historic day in our Casa de Ezeiza, which from today will be renamed Lionel Andrés Messi, in homage to the best player in the world. Opposition parties are trying to truncate my inauguration

Tinubu has raised an alarm over alleged plots by opposition parties to truncate his transition process, coming up on the 29th of May, 2023. Festus Keyamo, his spokesperson said in a statement on Saturday, March 25: “We have watched with great concern the condemnable activities of some persons and groups who are desirous of truncating our democracy. For reasons best known to them, these persons have remained embitt£red that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared winner of the 2023 General Elections. Repeatedly, but unfortunately, these misguided individuals have called for either the cancellation of the results or that the President-elect should not be inaugurated on the 29th of May, 2023. We wish to reiterate and emphasise that these positions are not in tandem with our constitutional provisions or our electoral laws. We would have taken these as mere wishful thinking, however, because of their implications for national security and public order, we have therefore considered it necessary, if not expedient, to call them to order. We are aware of the intentions of those engaged in these treasonable and subversive acts. We also know those involved in the many plots being contrived to undermine the transition in particular and democracy in general. They have done it in this country before and it threw the country into avoidable cri§es for many years and they want to do it again. They are bent on delegitimizing the new government. Some have made treasonable insinuations and openly called for military take-over. It is for these reasons that they are de§perate to incite the people against the incoming Government. It is perplexing to see that those contesting the results want to be in the courts and on the streets at the same time. However, if their intention is to truncate the inauguration of the President-elect and Vice-President-elect, they should immediately bury the thought. It is gratifying to note that the President has set in motion steps for the actualisation of the swearing-in ceremonies.“

Minister of State for Labour, Festus Keyamo, has been called out for sharing a fake video in his attempt to accuse the Labour Party of vote rigging in the recently concluded presidential election.

In the tweet shared on Saturday evening, Keyamo claimed the Labour Party has been putting out barefaced lies and engaging in propaganda with its claim of the presidential election being rigged. The Senior Advocate of Nigeria tweeted; “This is the political Party saying only their figures were accurate but other political Parties rigged. It is the barefaced lies & audacity with which they carry on their propaganda that is very befuddling! The ballot papers shown in the video visibly had specimen watermarks. Voter education programmes are usually organised by the government, civil society, and political parties alike during election seasons. The Department of State Service, DSS issues a stern warning concerning plans by some people to violently disrupt the peace in Nigeria.

Peter Afunanya, DSS spokesperson in a statement on Saturday, March 25, said: “The Department of State Service (DSS), again, alerts the public of plans to viol£ntly disrupt peace in the country. The Service hereby warns those desperate to cause a breakdown of law and order to desist from that. It is evident that some aggrieved politicians are already taking advantage of this legal process. This, without a doubt, is the beauty of democracy. It is strongly believed that this approach enhances peace and security. All and sundry should cherish it. Be that as it may, the DSS will not tolerate a situation where persons and/or groups take laws into their hands and champion anarchy. Those peddling fake news, hate speech and all forms of false narratives as basis to ignite violence or pit the people against the present or incoming administrations, at the Federal, State and Parliamentary levels, should stop forthwith. Those inciting violence have nothing to gain as doing so will not only cons¥me them but also the innocent. It is otherwise disturbing to see respected personalities use their platforms to mislead or incite citizens. This, to say the least, does not augur well for peaceful coexistence and general order. Therefore, the Service will continue to take necessary measures to checkmate these elements who do not wish the country well. Phillip Ayobami, a former corper alias tallest, refutes claims made by Ruth Innocent, an ex-colleague a.k.a shortest corper on their romantic relationship following their viral photos on social media. Ruth had stated in a Facebook post alleging that they fell in love during the orientation camp and had been together ever since. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Phillip Ayobami denied a relationship with Ruth. He accused her of being a clout chaser for the sake of attention on social media.

His statement reads in part; “In view of the above, I want to categorically state that I and Innocent Ruth met in the year 2021 at Kayama NYSC orientation camp (Bayelsa State) where we were brought together as the tallest and shortest corps members as part of activities by the NYSC to create fun in camp. “We never had any relationship during and after the orientation camp. It been two years those photos were taken and I haven’t set my eyes on her for over two years now (sic). “I hereby advice Innocent Ruth to take down the post from all her social media platforms else face legal action”, he wrote.
