A Toyota Camry found itself entangled in a mishap that ultimately led to the car falling off a bridge at Anthony Oke, heading inward Oshodi in Lagos State. The Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) promptly responded to the emergency, assuring the public that no casualties were recorded. The lone accident occurred at Anthony Oke in the direction of Oshodi, where the Toyota Camry lost control and tumbled off the bridge. Despite the severity of the incident, no injuries or fatalities were reported.

The agency, responsible for managing traffic and ensuring road safety in Lagos, took to its official X (formerly Twitter) page to share updates on the incident. “A lone accident at Anthony Oke inw Oshodi where a Camry Car fell off the bridge. “No casualty involved while Officers are on ground for evacuation,” the post read. The Nigerian man said that he began sleeping under Oshodi bridge, until a day came when the police were chasing people out from their abode under the bridge. He further said that he had been taken to a mountain where he spent 6 years being delivered. FEC approves N6.3bn for maintenance of Third Mainland Bridge

The Federal Executive Council, FEC has approved N6.3bn for surface maintenance of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State. FG approves N6.3BN for maintenance of Third Mainland Bridge The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents after the meeting of the council presided over by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. “We presented two memoranda to the council; both were approved; the first is with regards to contract cost revision by way of augmentation for the old Enugu-Onitsha road from Opi junction all the way to Udi-Oji to Anambra border in Enugu State. The augmentation was in the sum of N17 billion, which revised the contract sum to N49 billion with an additional completion time of 42 months.’’ The minister said the second contract was a fresh contract for the maintenance of the pavement of the third mainland bridge. He said that maintenance would address public concerns about potholes on the bridge. “And this was approved in the sum of N6.3 billion for a period of 24 months. This contract responds to the questions on potholes that have become manifest on the entire pavement of the deck of the bridge spanning 11 eleven kilometres and the interchanges—Adeniji Adele, Adekunle, and Gbagada ramps that all link the bridge; this is for the resurfacing of all that. “Some of the rails that have been stolen; some of the planes that have misaligned at the ramps that lead you on and off the bridge. So, this is the work that is being done now; so all the experience, avoiding potholes on the bridge; this project will tackle that,’’ he said.

Nollywood actor cum politician Desmond Elliot has said that the resident of Surulere insisted on putting his picture on the bridge he built. desmond elliot Desmond Elliot has come out to clear the air on the controversial wooden bridge known as the ‘Pako bridge’ he constructed for residents in his constituency. During an interview on TVC’s Your View show. the politician was asked why he fixed his picture on the wooden bridge and toilet he constructed for his constituents in 2020. According to him, in  2020 he visited the residents to console a mother who had lost her 13-year-old daughter in a canal. However, while going to fetch the body of the girl, he realized the wooden bridge was weak and hence replaced it. He disclosed that he donated N800,000 to the community for the bridge and they insisted on putting his picture on the bridge as a way to show their gratitude.

The family of the little boy from Kano State, who went viral for creating a replica of a major overhead bridge in the state has obviously been uplifted.

The good news is coming after Musa Sani made headlines and became an internet sensation following a display of his craftsmanship.
He had recreated the Kano state overhead bridge with locally-sourced materials.
As the photos made waves, it was gathered that the young boy’s work caught the attention of a construction company which offered him University scholarship to study in the United States.Aminu Adamu Abdullahi, a Facebook user who made this revelation added that that the company also gifted Musa’s mum N1 million to start a business, while his father was given a job.
Musa’s siblings will also be enrolled in good schools and the family will be moved to a furnished apartment in Maiduguri, reports say.

Some bikemen allegedly prevented a man from executing suiciiidde as he tried to jump off the Ikoyi Link Bridge in Lekki, Lagos state.


The young man, who is yet to be identified, was being detained by two men believed to be okada riders who observed him leaping over the bridge from distance, in a video that has gone viral online.
Despite their best efforts to save him, the man still desired to be freed to complete the heinous act, but he was restrained by the okada men.
Passersby noticing what is going on, rushed to assist the okada men to restrict the young man from executing the act.
