The regulation change allowed foreign nationals employed in either country to unilaterally suspend their contracts if they wished to leave the region. FIFA recently announced that Annex 7 would be extended through to the summer of 2024, allowing Solomon, who still had five months left to run on his Shakhtar contract, to move to a new club. Solomon spent his early years at local side Maccabi Petah Tikva, where he made his professional debut as a 17-year-old in November 2016. He scored eight goals in 73 appearances for the Israeli outfit, earning himself a move to Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2019. Primarily operating as an inverted left-winger, Solomon made 106 appearances for Shakhtar, scoring 22 goals and winning the domestic league title on two occasions, along with Ukrainian Cup and Ukrainian Super Cup wins. Solomon gained experience in the UEFA Champions League whilst at Shakhtar, scoring his first goal in a group-stage game against Atalanta in October 2019, a strike that made him the youngest Israeli to score in the competition. The winger also scored the decisive third as Shakhtar recorded a famous 3-2 victory away to Real Madrid in October 2020. Ahead of the 2022-23 Premier League season, Solomon joined newly-promoted Fulham on loan and scored his first goal for the west London side in a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in February.

Manchester City completes treble run, wins Champions League

Manchester City won the Champions League title for the first time by beating Inter Milan 1-0 at Istanbul’s Ataturk Olimpiyat Stadium on Saturday, June 10. Pep Guardiola’s team was far from their fluent best for long periods in the Ataturk Stadium, but they once again found a way to dig out a narrow victory to follow up their FA Cup triumph over Manchester United last weekend and end their long pursuit of Europe’s premier trophy.

Manchester City crowned Champions League winners. Source: Twitter The Citizens struggled to impose their usual, dominant game upon the Italians in a tight first half with Erling Haaland seeing their best effort well blocked by Andre Onana. Guardiola’s frustration was then compounded when the Belgian star Kevin de Bruyne was forced to withdraw from the action for a second successive Champions League final after suffering a hamstring injury. Spanish midfielder Rodri’s 68th-minute goal settled a cagey contest that a far-from-fluent City dominated but they never looked comfortable against the three-time winners. Inter almost levelled at the death when a point-blank header by substitute Romelu Lukaku was saved by Ederson. City held on to lift their first European silverware since 1970. It completed a treble for City, making them the second English club to achieve the great feat as Manchester United also won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in 1999.

The victory means the club finally achieved its ambition of reaching the summit of European soccer, 15 years after Abu Dhabi’s ruling family transformed it into one of the richest teams in the world. Owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan was in attendance to see City’s crowning moment. It was only the second time he has watched his team in person in 15 years. Following the big win today, Guardiola is now the only coach to win a treble with two different sides, the first one being FC Barcelona in 2008/09. Guardiola also became the third-ever manager in the history of football to win the Champions League with two different teams.

"The wait is over" – Cuppy weeps tears of joy, pens emotional note as she completes her thesis

Popular disc jockey, Ifeoluwa Florence Otedola, aka Cuppy has wept tears of joy as she completes her master’s degree thesis.
Recall that the billionaire heiress, who had been admitted into Oxford university for her master’s degree program, had frequently complained about her thesis.

Cuppy has finally rounded up her thesis and has taken to social media to weep tears of joy.
She wrote:
“TEARS OF JOY of The wait is finally over!!! My Thesis is finally 100% done!!! Not sure why weeping is my reaction right now.
I’m so drained that it actually feels so difficult to celebrate. Over the last few weeks, I’ve pushed myself SO much, both mentally and physically to actually finish this degree. Truthfully, this has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life… This paper alone has made me want to drop out of Oxford University TWICE.
I’ve done something only a few can do, and I don’t need to ask for anyone’s respect or flowers – I’ve earned them! & People keep asking where the party is?! LMAO I need to rest and rebuild… It is important to understand that when you have worked as hard as I have for a project like this, you get so fatigued and partying is the last thing on your mind.
I am thankful for all the people who have supported me and proud of myself throughout this process. Lastly, I am thankful to God who has been with me the entire way!!!”
